mars (dean expy) and comet (SORT OF cas expy) at the end of the comic are in a weird qpr kind of deal where theres also a sexual component (this will already make so many people angry with me if anyone ends up reading the fucking thing) but they arent like monogamous. wrt sex but also comet isnt aro so ve is also open to a romantic partner. anyway in my brain!!! comet eventually finds a solid romo partner who is cool with mars straight up living with them and taking up a lot of comets time and affection. this person would also probably forma close bond w mars but like. it would be Different. which is fine. ANYWAY eventually comet and Romo Partner want a kid and like they could adopt or foster but setting this aside for the sake of my shitty hilarious idea but they cant traditionally conceive. theyve had the ‘adding kids’ discussions w mars already and mars is cool w it as long as they are not taking on a significant portion of the child rearing bc they have issues and they know they have issues and realize they have to be essentially ‘weird uncle (?????)’ zoned in order for the whole thing to work. again everyone is cool with this. SO for whatever reason a surrogate situation falls through and isnt possible. (you can see where im going with this and its a horrible set up bear with me) LONG STORY SHORT mars is like yknow what. comet i will carry ur child. i want to do it. but im still not in charge of it god bles

this whole fucking thing is just so i can imagine their child walking around school or like a doctors office or their neighbours introducing comet and ver romo partner as their parents and mars as their uncle (????) (question marks mandatory) adn just. oversharing about the whole situation. its so funny to me. like ‘here is my Parent (comet). here is my Other Parent (romo partner). and here is my uncle (?????) mars! they gave birth to me and also they live in our house but they are just my uncle (??????) who is also my mom sort of.’ Their neighbours at this point are like ok we have no earthly idea wtf is going on but its fine probably. but like the other fuckin pta members are like floored by not only this story but also by how comet and mars have completely fully kissed On The Mouth in front of the school at some point. like whatever scenario they had concocted to make sense of what they saw before is just shattered by this sight.
