Babe Rainbow returns with their dreamy new single "Waterfall"

Babe Rainbow's new single exists somewhere at the intersection of Sheryl Crow's sunshine-infused country rock and Unknown Mortal Orchestra's hazy, washed-out lo-fi pop aesthetic.
"Waterfall" is the second offering from ACID AND HONEY, the band's seventh studio album. The new track is perfect for a stoned trip to the beach or a lazy summer day hunched in front of the AC.

Babe Rainbow is a psych-pop band from Byron Bay in Australia who are known for their permaculture farming, boogie psychedelia, and “throwback” surf cult imagery.
The band was formed in 2015 in Rainbow Bay by kiosk lurkers Jack (Cool Breez), Angus Dowling, and Elliot O’Reilly. At one time the three worked for a local farmer named John Cutts in Duranbah NSW near a “tropical fruit world.” John and the guys were cranking out the kale way before it was cool. “We’ve seen plenty of vegetables go in and out of fashion,” says Angus.
Initially rooted in 60’s psych and 70’s French surf-pop Babe Rainbow’s musical style has evolved through their career exploring elements of woodland bop, folk disco, dub, dance and, international groove. However, they’ve managed to maintain an Aquarian quality built on the foundation of Dowling’s musical spacemen singing style and Cool Breeze’s chiming effects-based guitar sounds.
Babe Rainbow wrote and recorded their first release The Babe Rainbow EP in an office space in Murwillumbah which was picked up by national broadcaster Triple J and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard label Flightless Records. In 2017 they released their debut album produced by Stu Mackenzie and tour-supported King Gizzard, Allah Las, Tomorrows Tulips, and French synth wave band La Femme internationally.
The debut Babe Rainbow album was signed to 30th Century on Columbia, Double Rainbow (2018), and Today (2019) finishing their three-record deal. Babe Rainbow now own all of their masters and share releases their own label EUREKA! Music through AWAL.
