WTF - I had never noticed this before but now that I have it has made my entire day!
I love this show... you could just put some regular scissors there - it really doesn't matter - but Weisman's like - NO! MAKE THEM A CHARACTER... love it!
Though this does call into question - are the justice league just never prepared for anything...? How hard is it to remember to bring the fancy ceremonial scissors to your own event?! They probably had to put Plas on the league because they were always forgetting shit...
Anyway... this genuinely made me laugh...

personally i’m not a fan of the finale. while i really liked how each character got their own arcs, (it honestly started off so strong with artemis and mgann) but as the plot started to come together, it was a little all over the place and the parts where the og team was featured didn’t feel as strong as it could be. particularly with rocket and nightwing (which were the weakest of the arcs imo). and the ending felt very rushed. but it was an ambitious story for sure and there was a lot that i liked. following the legionnaires, seeing conner in the zone with zod. gar’s depression (though towards the end, it felt a little off. like they wrapped it up quick so they could focus on the ending which makes sense but ehh).
as a nightwing fan, i really wish we could have gotten some sweet sweet nightwing development and tbh im low key annoyed i didn’t get it. but whatever.
the one thing however that i cannot stand are these death fake outs. like conner’s was acceptable, it was the whole driving force of the plot and was a cool story to unpack. but rocket and nightwing was sooo unnecessary. like that whole climatic scene with dick…whyyyy. and nothing was done with it. next time we see him, he’s running around and says i’m ok. like what.
but their wedding was really cute and i’m glad they get to have their happily ever after.
also i love black canary’s suggestion about implementing mental health resources into the league. way overdue. and i’m wondering if this “safe space” will be on new genesis? since as soon as she said that the boom tube opened up. so we’ll see.
also brainiac 5!! i love him 🥺 did anyone used to watch the 4kids legionnaire show lol?
overall season 4 wasn’t bad. i’m glad we got to spend time with the original team. and they did their best trying to flesh out deeper stories for honestly, a lot the YJ characters.
