AU idea: Goumang doesn’t get lobotomized.
Instead of turning Goumang into a vegetable, Yi kidnaps- I MEAN “surprise recruits” her to his little rebellion. Why? Because Shuan Shuan told him to try and solve the problem peacefully.
She’s still livid with Yi for breaking her legs and sees Kuafu as a traitor, but surprisingly tender with Shuan Shuan. He reminds Goumang both of her “babies” before she turned them into Jiangshi Soldiers and of herself when she was a child.
Her interactions with Yi throughout the game would be a mixture of bickering over petty things or debates about of The Sols have handled Tian Huo crisis. This adds a new perspective to the whole situation: someone who didn’t side with the plan simply for personal gain but also for the benefit of the Solarian people.
Goumang would act as a dark reflection of Yi, what he would have become if he didn’t spend that year in Peach Blossom Village or have someone like Heng in his childhood.
also there’d be an enemies-to-lovers romance with Yi being a tsundere and Goumang being oblivious
