Screaming Females - "Expire"
Out today on Don Giovanni Records is Ugly, the 5th release from New Brunswick's Screaming Females. It has that perfect mix of power pop, punk and grunge that the NJ trio is known for. For Ugly they tapped the expertise of Steve Albini to produce the album. Like the other major Albini produced album that was released this year (Cloud Nothings' Attack On Memory) it lives up to his trademark sound, loud distorted rock with a polished finish. "Expire" starts off with a killer riff which sets the tone for the rest of the song.
