I accidentally made myself really emo over how messed up my DnD character's childhood was, especially since she was shielded from understanding how fucked it was by her mentor since she was so young and if she ever really looked back at it she'd probably be really fucked up about it. My baby has Deep Trauma disguised as Slightly Abnormal Childhood but doesn't really get that. If she weren't so closed off, she could probably talk to people and get a sense of it, but no, she's gotta be stoic or whatever.
