I finished my first race today! It took a lot longer then I had hoped but I'll just have to push harder for the next one. Now that I joined a gym it should be easier 😊

FINALLY! @tanitia_sd & I made it to the park after work 😂 Man I haven’t walked a 5K in one go in years and it shows. It also got dark midway through our #walk & I must’ve stepped wrong/on something and rolled my ankle because now my left foot hurts like a mofo. I actually felt it towards the end of the walk & turned on my phone’s flashlight so I could see where we were walking… Irritated that my phone was somehow not syncing with #YesFit & all the miles we walked is not showing up as progress towards my goat medal, because yes, after the Thor race, I had to find the one w/ the 🐐 medal 😬 It’s technically the Glacier race (49 miles). But yea, I just checked again & it didn’t record the 5K grrrr… I also gave Tanitia a bag of guavas LOL. This is a Yes.Fit Virtual Race I completed today. There was a time I could've completed this in a day or a few without really trying. Now it takes me considerably longer. I find what's important to me these days isn't finishing first. It's not quitting. It's completing what I started. It's finishing the race. I suppose that's why I like these Virtual Races. I only answer to myself. I'm only competing with myself. I'll only disappoint or make myself proud. That's how I strive to live my life. No one is going to be just strong for me, except me.
