Similar to a Yandere and a Megadere, Yerederes are obsessed with their love interest. They do not kill, but they do exaggerated things to show their affections, such as praying to them, cooking for them every day, giving lots of gifts and love letters songs/ poems, stalking, stealing their items, between others. While Yerederes can have multiple friends, they direct most if not all of their kindness, affection, and love towards only a single person/ their beloved.

Meaning

The word is a compound of Deredere (デレデレ) which is roughly translated to 'lovey dovey' and Yandere (病んでレ).

Personality

While Derederes are always cheerful, Yerederes are always concerned about their love interest, whether they are feeling well or not. Yerederes are almost always happy, but express it less than Derederes. They are obsessive, but not the "dark" kind of obsessive like a Yandere have. They aren't violent toward people that get close to their love interest, and some Yeredere may respect their love interest's freedom to interact with friends and people close to them.

Another possible term for Yeredere is "Megadere" which are basically fangirls and possible stalkers. The term comes from the word "mega" which means very large or huge and "deredere" which means lovey-dovey. So, like the name suggests, they're basically deredere but on a whole new level. However, the term Megadere is rarely used.
