When I went to a campground when I was a freaking child and somehow got EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE CAMPGROUND (yes in the entire campground, I don't know how it happened either to this day) to join me and my newly-found friend in a game of 'Dragons vs Hunters' and it started out INSANE (to the point where my mom said she could hear kids shrieking with joy and panic all the way from the back of the campground) and then ended with children keeping rocks as pets and others chucking ROCKS at the other kids (the hunters)
ABOUT 30-35 PEOPLE WERE PLAYING THIS AT A FREAKING CAMPGROUND AT LIKE SEVEN AT NIGHT TO AFTER DARK
THE RULES APPARENTLY (from what I can remember)
Dragons (mostly girls/girl team):
Keeping the rocks (eggs) safe from the hunters, underneath the trees were nests, dragons can shoot others with fire (metaphorical)
Hunters (boys team, I think?):
Attempting to steal the dragon eggs (rocks) from the dragons without getting caught, I think they had a home base that they were staying at and hoarding the eggs there away from the dragons
...anyways all the rules went out the window after about an hour or two and I ended up stealing back a small girl's egg (quartz crystal she named 'Crystal' or something I think) and dodging the rocks that the meanie group of boys that were chucking at others
many lives were lost that day
and also a LIFELONG memory was made in the process ;)
Quick reminder that this was at a CAMPGROUND and there were genuinely everyone from teens to literal like two year olds teaming up and fucking beating up the boys with throwing sticks
THERE WERE FULL ON ALLIANCES BEING MADE THAT DAY
I think I literally made like twenty pairs of permanent friend groups in ONE DAY, thinking back to that
also the parents had fun talking with each other while watching a tween chase after a ten year old boy screaming "GIVE HER BACK CRYSTAL" and throwing rocks at the child as he laughed manically, holding a small quartz crystal
anyways I think I got like twenty pine needles in my hair that day, two bruises, a cut or two, and my barefeet were CAKED in mud (i was running around barefoot), as well as my throat raw from screaming and shrieking 'ROAR' at other dragons and boys, as well as a Polaroid picture of my and my found friend :3
