Leshy sits on the edge of her bed, his own lunch in his lap. “Astaroth says you’re still doing far better than you’ve any right to be.” Yet she’s missing out on so much. “I’m sick of resting.” “You’re getting stronger. Give it a while yet,” Leshy assures her. He picks up a piece of his lunch — some type of roasted leg from a critter — and strips it of its meat with one bite. Once he swallows that down, he tosses the bone in too for good measure. At least he chews it; his sharp triangular teeth crunch down noisily. He speaks through his full mouth, “I’ll need my dance partner for the wedding.”
