Sapientia took in a breath of the warm air. She was not one for throwing parties or grand celebrations; hers was a year for reflection and memory. And as the world had grown more troubled in the last years, a particular bouquet of memories had come to mind: a time when she had communed with the goddess of Sidus. So she had decided to wander to the island briefly to dwell in the memories. But when she heard tales among the residents of the island that of a strange blue filly that had appeared near the river one day, she sensed immediately something had changed, and so went to investigate. . . We have new lore revealed today! This lore is called “Heira Rises,” and can be found in the Encyclopedia under Religion -> Fluminis -> More Stories. This lore was written by Orion. In addition we have the results for the Year of Nox contests! An Insta-Companion Ethereal Equine will be sent out to each winner shortly after this news post (you will not get a notification, so just check your inventory under ‘Referral’.)

The Year of Nox is coming to a close, and with it our festivities are also wrapping up. Today, we're announcing the winners of the Alt God design contest! They are:

Now... the winning designs are up for raffle! That's right, we're starting a new raffle which you can find here. The raffle ends 01/31/2019 11:59 pm Server Time (just before rollover into February 1). You each have three tickets you can use, whether you want to cast one entry to each of these stunners or if you want to put all your luck on a single design! When the raffle is over, a random player will be selected for each design and that player will get the design as a custom horse, complete with an additional character slot and stallion slot!

Many of the islands’ residents deserved the fate which was destined to come to them. But not all. We have a new lore update today. Under the Encyclopedia -> Geography and Lore -> Augurio Finem, you will find a new Parallelos story - Parabola Aviarius. This story features Verum and her new prophet, and was written by Micamoney! To celebrate this lore release, we've added a new companion to the wild which has a striking resemblance to Verum - the Spectacled Tyrant! This Songbird has three poses, and can be found in the wild - even as a little egg in a nest for the little ones.

2019 is a year of improvement for Indomita, where we are working hard in the background on improving the game quality and polishing out our final intended features for the game. On the art side of things, this means fixing file problems and inconsistencies with markings - nothing major enough to change the art you know and love, but enough to make it look better and make you love your time here even more! We've completed our first art project: fixing feathers. Many of the feather markings were ragged, had bald spots, or did not match color or shape of the horses - but no longer. Lithium has gone through and fixed up each horse's feathers so that they are consistent and better looking. Have a feathered horse? Now's the time to reset their images! And, after many many long months of promising, the Encyclopedia's Companion Guide has undergone a complete overhaul. Now each type of companion is sorted into categories and pages of their own, and you can click through to see each color variation and baby forms! Each companion's possible lifespan, required level, and location(s) are also listed. The guide also breaks down the basics of companions. Lith put a lot of work into this and they hope it is useful and easier to use! The genetics portion of the guide is also being actively worked on by kinju, and Velski sneaks in updates when none of us are looking. Finally a few reminders for the end of this month's event! Tomorrow (the 25th) is the last day you can vote on the alternate god designs, so make sure to use your three votes! The creative contests have a few more days, with the last day for submissions being the 27th. Make sure to look back through previous news posts for all the details!!

Dead leaves rattle as a breeze dances along their spine. Left at the alter of Nox in Lenio Forest, they were just one of many symbolic offerings to celebrate the goddess of Death. Nox was still on worshippers' lips, even as Angelus sometimes looked on. She did not mind that few knew her by name, or that mortals had yet to realize that some of the divine duties had shifted when it came to the passage of the soul. "Are you sure about this?" The voice beside Angelus was musical, like chimes made from bone. The mare looked to the ethereal companion beside her. They had been mortal, once, but now they stood on the precipice of life once more. The dark-faced mare bobbed her head, smiling. "In the days to come, mortals and spirits alike will be tested beyond measure. We must begin to strengthen the bond between them. Those with the strongest hopes and dreams will be the ones to light the future." Angelus gave a light nudge to the spirit on their shoulder. "Go. Cross the threshold of death and guide them, as we cannot."

Those of you stalking Discord yesterday might have seen that Lithium put together over 35 different companion recolors just for you (with more still planned or on the way). We want every critter to have a little chance to shine though, so we're going to release the first set of these today. The theme is Prey. Here you will find new colors for the Brocket Deer, Capuchin Monkey, Howler Monkey, Coati, Golden Lion Tamarin, Tapir, and Tayra, all shown in the image! All of these new colors are found naturally in the wild where these species are normally found, or can be obtained with the use of a Companion Coat Changer. Also we forgot to put Nox's Whispers in the Chrysos Shop, so they have been added now! We hope you all had a wonderful winter holiday season and a safe new year! January on Indo is traditionally Nox’s year, but due to events following the last Holy Wars, this year she is sharing her month with Angelus. Since this is Angelus’ first time hosting an event of this nature, she has decided to go all in, and hopefully has a little something for everyone to enjoy!

First off, for our writers out there. We have a writing contest with two classes. One for those of us who are short and to the point, with a minimum word count of 100 words and a maximum of 500 words, and one for those of us who just ramble on and on and… with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum of 1000. Those contests can be found below. The theme for both is Dreams and Wishes. You can feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
