01. stay is another song written by jae. it was difficult for them to split the parts, since no one really understood the way the song was supposed to sound. serena and jae saw it as more of a ballad while mystie and ashes could see it fitting with the rest of their tracks. it was decided that it would be a hybrid track. there was no choreography made for this song to emphasize their vocals over everything else.

02. playing with fire was serena’s first try at writing and producing a song for prism. the original track was messy, though it had the elements that were needed. she worked with park chanyeol to clean it up and have it flow better with how she was imagining it. since the song was a big deal for her, she focused most of her time on it. along with giving the other members larger parts, she also choreographed it mostly on her own.

03. originally the vibe wasn’t supposed to be a song, but a short instrumental to act as an intro to the album. it was later extended into a full song after a night where the girls were stringing together lyrics as a game. the paper they had been writing on was going to be thrown out, but instead they decided to refine the gibberish from their game and make it into a song.

04. playing with fire is the only song from this album with a proper choreography.

✧ FUN FACTS

01. whistle was written by jae. it was originally going to be held for a later comeback. after reading over it between the four, they were able to figure out the sound that would compliment it best.

02. boombayah was written by ashes. this was supposed to be the only promoted song for their debut before jae introduced her work in progress.

03. each choreography was created by serena with help from ashes as well as kang seulgi. seulgi had the most input with whistle. these projects established serena as a choreographer for her group.

04. before they debuted, most fans had speculated they would have a sound like nct dream’s my first and last, in hopes they would follow a cuter concept. other groups believed they may sound more like nct 127′s cherry bomb or red velvet’s red flavor.

05. prism got their first win with whistle. they reached #1 only two weeks into their career.

06. there had been a running joke between prism and nct dream about their members on the floor. one of them was “the floor is not getting enough sleep”.

07. with each view milestone on the boombayah music video, a new video was posted. five million got the whistle music video, ten million unlocked a performance video for I like it, and twenty million unlocked the dance practice videos for both promotional titles.
