📓!!! You have the best ideas <3
!! hi aure!!! thank you so much!!!! <3
Put "📓" or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I'll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven't written but daydream about.
Okay umm...here's something...I've been wanting to do some exploration of Yoda's isolation on Dagobah. I mean....I cover those ~19 years for Ben how many times, but not Yoda?? Severe oversight on my part KJAFHFK
Basically, I wanna explore some of Yoda's main relationships. Specifically Mace, Dooku, Qui-Gon....probably some of the elder Jedi, DEFINITELY a Youngling (probably....katooni? although im a SUCKER for ganodi SO---)
Specifically in mind is a scene where Yoda enters that 'Dark Side cave' again. Unlike the vision he had in TCW, he does not see violence, or death, or a Sith Lord behind it all. Instead, he sees a little boy who'd once been his apprentice, long before he was Sidious'. He sees Mace, young and determined and so unaware of how much kindness shone from his heart. He sees halls that glowed in the night, food and laughter and life. He does not see his fears, because he has nothing to fear anymore. Instead, he sees what has been lost. He sees, perhaps, his regrets.
It gets kinda blurry around the middle. I'm not COMPLETELY sure what I'd like to do. Maybe this'll just be snippets of the way he is haunted. HOWEVER, there is one other scene I really want to write.
When Yoda closes his eyes after that last conversation with Luke, he sees the life that he once had, the home and the family. He thinks it is another dream. But there is Mace beside him, glowing and happy and free of that weight he'd carried for so long, to reassure Yoda that it is not a dream, but that he is home, in the Force.
