Hi I love your writing!! Could you do some kind of meet cute with new neighbor Steve? Total romantic comedy over-the-top cute but unrealistic type shit.
Hi friend thank you for this, I love ooey gooey stupid little meet-cutes so I had fun with it!! I hope it meets your expectations!
Pairing: Steve/Reader (no pronouns or gendered terms used) W/C: ~1k Warnings: Mild nudity (just undies!), language, awkward lil reader.
Having a laundry room in your new apartment building was definitely a privilege, maybe even the best feature the place had to offer. The fact that you didn’t have to lug your washing downtown to the laundromat was initially what sold you on the place. However, it came with its downfalls too…like getting too comfortable in the still-very-public-place that just happened to only be two doors down and across the hall from your apartment.
It was late. Too late to still be up doing chores, but they needed to be done unless you wanted to show up to work the next day in the same pants you’d been wearing for four days. So you found yourself in the laundry room just a little past 11 PM on a Sunday, no sign of life in the hallways, and an overflowing hamper on your hip.
As a KH1 s/k fan -but sr overall and endgame actually-, I'd like to think he had a crush on her, but it doesn't make sense to me. He acknowledged not knowing love in KH2. The same game in which he fantasized about her. People use as proof of s/k that the short story was precisely in KH2. Like, what. About KH3, even if you aren´t in love with your first love, you should know how it feels. Also aitsu happened as early as COM. The point of the fantasies was to show that they they aren´t reality.
Even though it’s not made completely clear, I had the impression that all the short stories from the character file were taking place near or even after the end of kh3 (for example Isa’s takes place during or after the ending when he is human again) and Sora was recalling what he saw in kh2 (although now that you mention it that still does imply that he felt like he didn’t understand it back then too) But anyway, yeah I agree. I feel that if Sora had ever actually had real romantic feelings for Kairi he wouldn’t be so confused about what it’s supposed to feel like (also in jp during the Caribbean scene he more directly says “I may not understand love but…” rather than saying he still has a lot to learn about love. He just plainly says he doesn’t understand it). To me it seems it was always just comphet, and then at some point after their reunion-though maybe not all at once and maybe somewhat subconsciously-he realized that whatever he felt about Kairi wasn’t what he thought. It didn’t feel like all the romances he’d been seeing in his journey. Something was missing, and that’s what made him so confused (“What is true love anyway? What is love? I don’t even know why I’m so bothered by these questions.”)
And as a side note, speaking of that dancing fantasy it’s also good to remember that in jp Sora doesn’t say “maybe I never gave her a real present after all”, he doesn’t specify “her”, it’s Donald and Goofy that then make the assumption he’s only talking about her, prompting him. Not to say he was thinking specifically of anyone else either but it could have been read as a more general statement (I’ve never given a real gift to anyone) and then Donald and Goofy steer him to think specifically of Kairi, saying she’s like Sally in that the only gift she needs is to be with him. Which is uh….pretty interesting in the context of later on when Kairi says they’ll be together every day and Sora says “uhh yeah!” only to shortly later decide to leave for the Mark of Mastery…but I digress. It’s actually a super interesting scene imo

“(Y/n),” I smiled at Red as he greeted me. I chuckled when he hugged me tightly. “I’m so happy to see you.”
“You too, Red,” I said. “So... FBI, huh?”
“I’ll just need you to trust me.”
“Always.”
“I’m sorry but you gave us a list,” a blond man stepped forward. “You let us choose two but you insisted on them.”
“Are you judging my choices, Donald,” Red asked.
“I’m asking why you insisted on someone who’s almost half the size of the man we chose,” the man that I now knew as Donald replied. I looked over at Red, who simply nodded at me.
I offered Donald a small smile before grabbing his wrist. Before he could react, I slammed him against the hood of the car that had originally brought me here. He groaned and I pushed harder on his arm to make a point. I ignored the initial shock that I felt when I grabbed his wrist. I glanced at the other agents that rested their hands on their guns.
“Oh calm down,” I rolled my eyes, letting Donald up. I clapped my hand against his shoulder. ‘Get my point across?”
Chapter 7: Huey
The rest of the school week passed by in somewhat of a blur for Huey. The anticipation and excitement grew the closer it came to the weekend, the fantasy of adventure becoming more and more real. He actually forgot to take notes in a couple of classes, too busy fantasising about the trip. He found himself revising everything he knew about Phoenicia, its history, religion, technology, everything. He admittedly couldn’t find a whole lot about the ancient civilisation, which made him a little bit nervous, but the prospect of going on another adventure was enough to assuage his worries.
He had tried to keep the details to himself, not quite knowing how to explain the whole ‘adventuring’ thing to his small circle of friends. He didn’t expect it to last, though. Dewey was nothing if not a drama queen, and Huey very much expected the gossip to be spreading through the school like wildfire by the end of the week.
So, when the end of the week came around and no rumours were to be heard, Huey was pleasantly surprised.
The adults of the house were busy the whole week organizing thing for the trip. Between Della, Donald and Scrooge, the Sunchaser had been thoroughly packed with crates of supplies and equipment. Climbing kits, parachutes, flashlights, rations, first aid kits… it seemed that they were deliberately overpreparing for this trip, and Huey couldn’t be gladder.
Huey had expected Webby to be the most excited for the adventure, and he was indeed proven right. His pink-sporting cousin had been filled with a fervour that he hadn’t seen from her in years. She was jumping from room to room, sliding down the handrails down the main stairs, and excitedly asking family members things about the trip – what monsters they could fight, what kind of treasures they’d score, what kind of traps the place would have, and so on. Her enthusiasm spread across the mansion, and everyone found themselves smiling a lot more.
But probably the most dramatic change was found in Louie. The youngest triplet had gone from dour and withdrawn to bright and happy within the span of a day. He was hanging around with the family more, he hadn’t skipped class since the announcement, he wasn’t even complaining about his medication or Donald’s tuna sandwiches. It very much seemed like Louie was… happy.
Still… something about it seemed off to Huey. The change… it was too swift, too dramatic. Something about it didn’t add up to him.

Lo-fi
Jesse Swanson (10:24am)
Yo, so we met up with some of the guys from class, they’re chill dudes
Chloe Beale (10:33am)
Hey we’re waiting on you Bec :)
Beca’s eyes adjusted to the brightness of the phone screen as she stared down at the messages. She was confused for a total of 15 seconds before it registered with her that she said she’d hang out with her friends. Her gaze then fell onto the time.
11:00am
Well shit.
“Hey, sorry I was late-” Beca groggily stated 15 minutes later as she stumbled her way into the local café. Her eyes landed on the group of friends tucked away to the side of the room, each staring at her in amusement.
Speechless
The opening sequence started with an abandoned warehouse, boards filling in the way inside mostly on the windows. There came moving noises and shouts from the inside and out popped our four favorite turtles one by one, Leo in the lead. The dust settled down slowly as they each tried to catch their breath. Eventually, came the half-hearted laughs.
"Okay...that was kinda fun back there." Leo piped up.
"Risky, but yeah, not bad for first-timer, Leo." Raph's arms crossed in pride. Mikey nodded in agreement and looked towards Donnie, already hunched over his wrist device tapping away.
"And you said I couldn't handle leadership." The red-eared slider smirked.
"W-What, I never said that?"
"Not out loud anyhow."
While the older brothers slightly bickered among themselves, the box turtle turned attention towards the middle child of the family. "Donnie? Yo, Donald." He reached to touch the other's shoulder. The softshell in question slightly seemed startled turning towards the baby brother. "Leo did a pretty good job leading us, didn't he? You didn't have that much doubt in him as you did from the start, right?"
Donnie gaped a little before pressing lips into a thin line, giving off a quick nod. He appeared a little pale all of a sudden.
It didn't get past Orange as he collected Purple's hands in his own, "Hey... what's up, bro? You act like you've seen a ghost so suddenly." His brow curved into one of worry, "You can tell us anything, you know?"
This caught the attention of the older brothers as they faced the two younger siblings. Donnie began opening and closing his jaw but hardly made any sounds, slowly reaching to feel his Adam's apple... something wasn't right.
'It feels like fire...why can't I say anything...??'
"Donnie- whoa!" Mikey yelped as the softshell launched forward, hand over mouth as one cough after the other poured their way out in a painful manner. Leo grew in panic, making his way over quickly.
"Mikey, the hell is going on...??"
"He-He won't say anything to me!" Mikey was getting a little scared, "I don't...think he can say anything."
Blue bit his lip hard, "You're not suggesting that...?" But he had to brush it off, for now, turning to his twin who was trying to collect his breathing, tears in his eyes from the coughing fit that kept building up. "Donnie! D-Donnie, just take it easy. Deep breathing, just breathe deeply and slowly, you hear?" The softshell did his best to follow said instructions. "That's it, just like you do with your panic attacks..."
"I'm gonna ring up Pops, maybe he can help!" Raph wasted no time in bringing out his phone to do so.
"Yeah, you do that!"
Donnie eventually got his breathing under control, but it still felt hot to the touch... it was making him dizzy. Leo calling out his name was the last thing he heard before passing out.
It could've been minutes or hours even, but Donatello slowly woke to find himself in the den laid on the couch. He felt something cool and wet around his throat, still felt warm from the inside regardless. He pushed himself into a sitting position...
"Hey, bro."
There was Leo, approaching him into a kneel beside his disaster twin. "Try not to talk right now, you'll end up with another coughing fit. Is there anything you need?"
Now that he mentioned it... Donnie did his best to gesture like he was drinking. Leo nodded in understanding, bringing up a glass of water, ice cubes bobbing about in it. The softshell took slow sips of the beverage and eventually looked towards the slider turtle silently asking;
Have they figured out the problem?
"Well...it should be obvious what the cause is." Leo tried to laugh but it faltered, "At least... that's what I'm hoping anyway..." He felt Donnie's hand slowly take a hold on his own and he squeezed in return. The snapper and box turtles made their way into the den.
"Ah, good. He's awake." Mikey sighed, relieved. "Now remember, Raph-"
"I know." Raph approached the other two, a somewhat frown in the genius's direction. "You've got a pretty bad habit of scaring us half to death, don't you?" Donnie pouted; was he really gonna do this now?
"But the problem's been figured out, right?" Leo wanted to know. Raph and Mikey took concerned noticed how the slider kept hold of the other's hand.
"...Right?"
"Uh, yeah, kinda." Mikey cleared his throat, "The way Draxum described it... that dust we dealt with has a bigger effect on some more than others from the looks of it. And those who have had it say it's like having a fever of 100 except it's within your neck. Just some soft foods and liquids, he should be good in no time."
This somewhat settled relief for Leo. Donnie, however, wasn't sure about not being able to speak for a long period of time.
"And we're all gonna pitch in and do our best to help you get better. The only difference being you won't be able to protest against us." Raph's little joke was answered with Donnie's elbow connecting with his ribcage. "Oof!"
Mikey giggled sadly, "Actions still speak louder than words, you know that, Raphie." Leo would've laughed too, he just felt too glum to follow through.
"It's okay, boys." Splinter entered the room, "I'll take it from here, you're all free to go now."
"Sure, pops."
"Yes, daddy."
The rat turned to the slider, "That means you too, Blue...Purple will be alright."
Leo wanted to protest, say anything but Donnie's hand upon his shoulder and a sad smile aimed at him... Blue sighed in understanding, getting up and slowly following after his other brothers. As Splinter changed the towel from Donnie's neck to replace it with a fresh one, he took fatherly notice how the twin kept his gaze where Leo had walked out.
"Try not to worry about him right now, my son. He'll be alright, you'll see."
Leo paced in the other room while Raph and Mikey were doing their own things to pass the time. How could he have been so stupid, so overconfident, just so... with a grunt of frustration, he grabbed a cushion and tossed it across to the other side.
Raph couldn't help taking notice, "It didn't really do anything to you, Leo..."
"You can say it." Leo frowned, "You both can just say it already, get it over with."
"Say what?"
The slider growled annoyed, "You know what I'm talking about, damn it! I'm the one responsible for what's happened to Donnie! He's like this cause of me! Who knows how long it'll be before he's up and chatting again, maybe to even rub it in what I could've done differently!" He paused to catch his breath after his vent.
"Look, Leo-"
"So what're you saying?" Mikey glanced from his comic, "You'd rather be the one with the hurt throat while Donnie's blaming himself instead?"
Leo's brow curved in concern, "What, no, I'm not saying that..."
"Hey, none of us knew the dust in that house would have that type of effect but we made it through as best as we could. We've at least made it out alive, right?"
His fists clenched tightly, "I know that... but I just..."
Mikey, now marking a spot in his comic, approached his older sibling in blue resting his hands on his shoulders. "Leo, I don't know if this will be any help, but... you shouldn't consider your mistakes as failures but as lessons instead." He smiled, "You at least have an idea what to do for next time we approach a situation like this, again, don't you?"
Leo bit his lip... and nodded. Raph joined in, "And like I said, we all pitch in, Donnie's gonna feel better in no time."
"...thanks guys." Leo embraced both his siblings in a group hug.
Mikey eventually broke away, "So... which one of us should take turns with Donnie first?"
Blue smiled, "I've already had my turn, you guys can decide among yourselves."
The next few days flew by faster than you could blink. Mikey helped out with whipping up soft recipes that Donatello could easily swallow, Raph assisted with telling some of his middle brother's fave stories (preferably ones that didn't involve too much magic). And as for Leo, he simply shared episodes of Jupiter Jim, some of them being Donnie's favorites too.
Purple was eventually able to speak again once the burning in his throat went away, but he and Leo didn't have to share an apology/forgiveness between them; it felt on that day after that mission, they already have both said their peace.

Keys to the Kingdom Preview
Tbh I just wanted to show you all how much fun I’m having writing for Genie. Like seriously I was worried I would have a hard time writing for him but its surprisingly really fun and easy. And its also the reason why I haven’t even gotten to Aladdin or any of the other fucking characters yet hhhhhh
***
Even despite his high elevation, Genie hears this call as he continues speeding about the town, casting countless spells to decorate the usually dust-ridden streets. “Heya, Sora!” he greets quickly, casually as he zooms past the trio without stopping for a second. “Sorry, can’t shoot the breeze right now, not when there’s still so much to do, from the corsages, to the cummerbunds, to the cake--oh, you would not believe how much planning and prep needs to go into a wedding these da--”
Genie finally stops himself short, screeching to a grinding halt directly in front of the bemused trio on the ground. “Sora!” he exclaims brightly, reaching down to enthusiastically shake the boy’s hand. “So glad you could make it! And here I thought your invitation got lost in the mail. Guess tossing it out into the space between worlds was more reliable than I thought. Say, what’s the deal with your updated ‘do? Are you graying really early? Or is it just for the occasion? ‘Cause you know, they say wearing white to a wedding is a bit gauche, no offense.”
“Um… no,” Sora shifts uncomfortably, absently running a hand through his whitening hair. “It’s… uh…”
“And those nails!” Genie gasps dramatically as he grabs Sora’s hand to get a better look at his claws. “Are you hoping to grow them out? Because if not, I can cut you a deal for the best manicure this side of the Sahara.” At this, Genie shapeshifts into a nail salon artist, armed with all of the tools of the trade, including a file that he wastes no time sanding against one of the claws in his hold. “Satisfaction guaranteed! Not to mention, I have glitter polish!”
Sora can’t help but let out a small hiss of pain as Genie obviously continues filing his claws, since their hard surface essentially takes the place of the soft skin his fingers had once been composed of. Which is why he quickly pulls his hand away, drawing it back toward him and holding it close protectively as he tries to play the matter off as nonchalantly as he can. “N-no thanks, Genie,” he musters a small, feeble smile. “I’m good.”
“Alright, but the offer’s still on the table if you change your mind,” Genie shrugs before turning his attention to the remaining pair in the party. “Ohoho! Looks like you brought two plus-ones with you, huh? Strange, I thought that if you were gonna bring anybody, it’d be Donald and Goofy. Now that I mention it, where are those two anyway?”
“They, uh… couldn’t make it this time,” Sora answers tersely, not wanting to elaborate much beyond that. “Anyway, Genie, this is Roxas and Xion.”
“Aha! So you two do have names after all!” Genie exclaims, fixing the two with a knowing grin.
“You’ve met before?” Sora glances back at the pair behind him.
“Yeah, awhile back,” Roxas replies. “But since we were with the Organization back then, we… sort of had to keep a low profile.”
“Well, I’ll tell ya what’s anything but low profile,” Genie interjects, shooting several magical fireworks up into the air above him. “The party we have going down right here in Agrabah!”
“What party?” Xion asks, intrigued.
“Only the party to end all parties!” Genie exclaims bombastically. “The shindig of the century! The soiree to put all others to shame! The most extravagant, extraordinary, extra-enchanted--courtesy of yours truly-- wedding you’ll ever see!”
“A wedding?” Sora inquires, smiling. “Who’s getting married?”
“Aw, c’mon, kid, you saw the invitation, didn’t you?” Genie returns with a wave of his hand.
“Um, no, I didn’t.”
“...Huh, so you didn’t get it after all. That’s the last time I use snail mail,” Genie shakes his head. He briefly conjures up a small, snail clad in mailman attire in the palm of his hand before throwing it aside.
“Genie? The wedding?” Sora presses his former question once again.
“Oh! Sorry! In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a bit ‘all over the place’ today,” Genie confesses, splitting himself up into several dozen copies that surround the trio. “After all, it’s not every day that my best buddy Al gets married!”
“Aladdin?” Sora grins, quickly joining in on Genie’s excitement with this news. “Aladdin and Jasmine are getting married?”
“You bet your Keyblade they are!” Genie clasps his hands together in delight. “The ceremony’s set to start any minute now, but there’s just one teensy-weensy, teeny-weeny little problem… Our groom is MIA! I’ve been searching high and low, turning the town upside down-” He briefly flips the entire city over at this, somehow defying gravity for everyone within it before setting it right again. “But there’s no sign of Al anywhere! You kids might not know this, but we can’t have this wedding without him. And if we don’t have the wedding, then we won’t get the deposit back on the catering! Oh, what do we do?!”
“Um… have you tried looking for him up at his old hideout?” Sora asks, pointing in the direction of said hideout.
“Of course I… haven’t,” Genie deflates somewhat at this. “Ya know, I should have thought to look there first. Anyway, let’s get a move-on! We don’t wanna keep that wedding waiting! Seriously after two movies and an 86-episode series, I think we’ve all been waiting for those two to tie the knot long enough!”
