That’s the only warning Optimus is getting before the inventor is grabbing him by the side of the helm and bringing their lips together in a fierce kiss. Pay no attention to how red his face is or how rapidly his heart is beating.

" C-Cade--? What are-- "

Optimus tried his hardest to begin, only to grunt as he felt those small hands press to the sides of his helm, now finding himself pulled into a kiss. While undoubtedly a tough thing to attempt, due to their size difference, the Prime was left with his plate-like lips locked with the other's.

... his cheeks were a hot, bright blue-- Optimus was quick enough to gently move Cade's hands with a digit to make sure he wouldn't burn his palms... except, he didn't pull away at all. It was only until there was a possibility of the other either not breathing much for the kiss or forgetting to breathe (honestly, Optimus was sure humans sometimes did that-- they often got lost in their own feelings, much like how Optimus himself did...) that he pulled away.

" I... ah... t-thank you, Cade. I... very much enjoyed that. "

Carefully picking up the next drum of fuel, jiggling it slightly to test how fill the container was. If it was a heavy slosh? He's going to ensure its capped and stick it under his arm with the other two drums. If it was more or less empty? Yeah, he's just going to tip it back and shotgun in a quick gulp.

Why were humans wasting this scrap on their non sentient vehicles? This stuff kicked hard like oil shine!

it's a familiar relief that he's more than lucky to have.     optimus lowers his helm as an arm barely catches himself when he leans forward,  venting heavily,  steam & smoke pouring from his intake as he heaves sigh after sigh at the safe feeling blanketing him with his conjunx's presence.     his back is more damaged than his front,  at least,  but one of his six exhaust stacks has been nearly bifurcated & is barely hanging by a thin flap of metal.

The wyverns helm lifted, a little groggy from the cold and chirping at Cade a moment. Taking a moment to try and wake up a little, shaking himself out before transforming, clicking softly.
