the very first thing she did was call you

you couldn't help but be agitated. you got off of a shitty day at work, and it was 1 am when she called you

but when you heard her frantic sobbing over the phone, everything went out the window

you broke countless traffic violations getting down to her trailer

her door was unlocked, and you found her in a crumpled mess in front of the TV

You saw it clear as day.. "The Lakeshore Strangler, Charles Lee Ray, gunned down in local toy store"..)

You felt that ugly pang of grief strike you right in the heart, and it didn't help seeing Tiffany's mascara streaked face

"I told him not to go!! I tried to make him stay..!!!" She cried out desperately "He never listens!!"

You crouched beside her and pulled her up into a hug so she wasn't sobbing on the floor

she clutched your back, fearing you'd disappear too. her tears stained through your shirt

it took some time for her to finally stop sobbing, which like??? you're surprised she actually stopped

regardless, you stayed with her for the night

you made her food after you got her to her bed and got her situated

(which was really small to you. you thought about buying her a new one)

at some point, when you were going to leave her to do something, she grabbed your wrist

You looked at her, and she looked up at you with those sad, teary eyes

"can you... could you lay with me, sweetface?"

you felt your face warm up at the question, but nodded regardless

she made space for you, and once you laid down, she immediately closed the gap between the two of you

she put her nose in your hair, and wrapped her arms around you

she was really warm, and you found yourself nuzzling into her grasp

"Thank you for coming to help me baby... really, i.. I'd be in pieces right now if it weren't for you.."

you kinda thanked yourself for this, tiff was very sweet all the time, and it was nice to see it not so forced for once
