TOP 5 THINGS WE SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO ON THE SHABBAT! ( Yahs set-apart day)
#1Â NO BUYING OR SELLING!!
This Law is probably the easiest one to break. Alot of us frequently run into the issue of getting off work late Friday evening right as the sun sets (Shabbat) and are looking to grab a bite to eat before heading in to honor the Shabbat. And in doing that, we find ourselves BUYING or making a purchase on Yahs set-apart day causing us to Profane and break 1 of the Laws of Shabbat. And this is how easy the "No buying" on the Shabbat law is broken. So what exactly should you do in situations like this? Well, Thus said the Master Yah, we are to cook  the day/night before and store it up for us to eat on the Shabbat!
Exodus 16:23
23 he said to them, âThis is what  Yah has commanded: âTomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the Father; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.ââ
Nehemiah 13:15-17
15 In those days I saw in Judah people treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys, and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them on the day when they sold food. 16 Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of goods and sold them on the Sabbath to the people of Judah, in Jerusalem itself! 17 Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them, âWhat is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?
Nehemiah 10:31
31 And if the peoples of the land bring in goods or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. And we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.
#2 NO WORK!
Now, don't panic! Alot of us have careers that mandates us to work on the Shabbat.. BUT, to deliberately take overtime or deliberately schedule side job(s), lawn mowing jobs, etc for some extra cash on the Shabbat is a THOU SHALL NOT! Â For those who have to work on the Shabbat as mandated by their work schedule, we can only hope that the Most High will have mercy on us, as it's not done in vein.
Exodus 20:9-11
9 Six days you shall labour, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yah. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days Yah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Father blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Exodus 34:21
21 âFor six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In ploughing time and in harvest you shall rest. Â ( No gardening, mowing, etc...)
Infact, this day is so set-apart, that back then, people would be put to death for working on it!
Exodus 31:15
15 For six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Father. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.
# 3 DO NOT COOK
On the Shabbat ( Yahs set apart day of rest) Â We are not to cook. We are to cook what needs to be cooked the day before and save the rest to be eaten on the Shabbat.
Exodus 35:3
3 You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.â *Kindle fire is to cook*
Exodus 16:23
23 he said to them, âThis is what  Yah has commanded: âTomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the Father; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.ââ
# 4 GATHER WITH THOSE ON ONE ACCORD WITH YOU.
Leviticus 23:3
3 âFor six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, Â a holy gathering.
# 5 DO NOT PARTAKE IN YOUR OWN PLEASURES!!! DO WHAT'S PLEASING TO YAH!
This is also a very easy Shabbat Law to break. Some people vein-fully break it; and some have no clue that they're actually breaking it. Simply because "doing of your own pleasures" can be perceived differently from person to person. So let's add some examples of partaking in your own pleasures.
ANYTHING THAT IS NOT CAUSING YOU TO FOCUS IN ON YAH IS OF YOUR OWN PLEASURE!!
Video games, secular music, salacious movies and t.v. shows, phone and text conversations that are not set apart to the Shabbat or Yah! Instagram, Facebook, twitter, etc ( If you are not giving Yahs truth on these apps then do away with them on the Shabbat!) - They can wait! This is of your OWN pleasure and it is NOT pleasing to Yah on the Shabbat
Isaiah 58:13
âIf you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your own pleasures on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Father honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly
