Okay, I've applied a few patches to y232* including using a different backend for yt videos, I'm seeing big speed improvements but I did have to retry so its definitely not immediately solving the problem but we'll see how it pans out, I think tomorrow I'll write a proxy pausing algorithm for when the dreaded error pops up so hopefully that'll solve a little more of the issue

This also led me to learn about dukpy which is a no dependency js interpreter, this could fuel the lightweight browser I'm building

Okay actually we do have a quick bit of news about y232, we discovered a way you may have better luck with downloads:

Click the Method field, choose Get all download links for video (pictured), input your video url and hit Process

This will give you all the streams for a video those of which yt-dlp marks Throttled (pictured) should be avoided but feel free to try anyway and I still hope this will be temporary but thank you to the yt-dlp devs for this and for auto stream switching if there's an issue with the best quality, very handy
