So I was invited a couple of days ago by a new gay friend (I haven’t had a gay friend since my early 20’s, that’s more than 15 years ago), to a piano night at @xyyvr and at first I was really hesitant but then I kept hearing @myname.is.miss in my head, “just say yes!” So I said yes to going out. When I arrived at the door, I looked at it and it wasn’t easy for me to go in because I haven’t really been a part of the “community” in a very long time. And I also haven’t been around “my people” in about the same length of time. So it wasn’t easy. But I had @myname.is.miss in my head, “just say yes, just say yes”. And I’m glad I went in.
