When: 14th of December 1982 With: @xregulus
Narcissa was not scared exactly. She trusted Regulus enough to leave him alone with her two-and-a-half years old son ( the half was incredibly important ) while she was out doing the part of Christmas shopping which would have bored the young boy ( that is to say the shopping part ) for the afternoon. However, leaving her son with anyone was still an incredibly hard feat ( a touchy subject ) for the blonde. She knew this was healthy for them both, and Draco loved Uncle Regulus — but the farther away she was, the less she could protect him. She still struggled with that ( admitting they were at peace ). So, when she spotted her cousin seemingly well, the witch let out a breath she had not known she had been holding, discarding her bags so a house elf would take care of them.
« How is he ? » This perhaps shouldn’t have been her first question. Perhaps, arguably, should she have asked how Regulus was, first. But while her own worries had been mellowed, they had still not gone away ( not yet, not until she had Draco back in her arms and a detailed account of what he had done ). « I hope he didn’t give you too much trouble. He is obsessed with his toy dragon, so this must have been a good activity ? » There were a few seconds in which the blonde finally realized she was making this all about her son ( again ). So instead, she walked further in and sat down. This was fine. Everything was fine. « How are you ? »
11. Would your muse kill for someone they care about?
In a heartbeat.
6. Does your muse believe in an afterlife?
Andromeda does believe in an afterlife. If she didn’t, she isn’t sure how she would cope with all of the things going on around her.
6. Does your muse believe in an afterlife?
angsty character questions
« That is quite the tempting idea, but I suppose I would not be able to tell you for certain if it is one way or the other. In any case, I do hope to leave a legacy. » This much is true — Narcissa herself does not consider herself particularly religious, though she will entertain religious ideas and conversations on the basis of how little is known to prove or disprove anything. Her views on any sort of afterlife are very much the same ( an interrogation, a non-answer, something she will talk about as if she knew but without actually knowing ). In any case, she would much rather worry about being remembered fondly and leaving greatness behind her than worry about what comes next. The afterlife, much like death, is not a topic Narcissa is particularly afraid of.

15. How often does your muse cry? Do they view it as weakness?
angsty character questions
While she is not above using faked crying and fabricated sadness if she feels this might improve her image or help with how she is relating to someone, Narcissa tends to view genuine crying as a weakness, a lapse in emotions she should not be allowing herself and so, by extension, neither should others. There is, however, an interesting disonance between the standards she holds herself and the general public to, and the standards she would apply to family members or friends ( whom she would never consider weak for crying in front of her ).
Narcissa cries ( genuinely cries ) in the privacy of her own home where she can wrap in on herself, though rarely if others are present ( it would take an extreme amount of trust or despair for the blonde to lose her composure in that way in front of someone. Her own parents have been excluded from that privilege ever since the blonde understood they certainly viewed her tears as a sign of weakness ). She is not someone who would cry extremely frequently, though, as her tears are always the consequences of bigger events she feels she cannot control, and only that level of stress and desperation would make her cry.
Do you think Regulus was waiting for Sirius on the other side of the veil?
Ouch.
To be perfectly honest I doubt it. Too much happened between them personally—Regulus’ moment of heroics be damned. I don’t think they could ever really go back to how they were at one point. Had Sirius known what his brother did would he be proud? Yes. But even if Regulus did something amazing like kill Voldemort himself Sirius would never be able to fully forgive him, so I doubt Reg would be able to drop everything easily himself.
If Sirius hadn't abandoned his family, do you think Regulus would still be alive?
Absolutely not.
