Tracking Gabrielle Parkinson down had not been easy, even for the Head of the Auror Department. He had been determined, though, following up on every lead he could find of where she might be. He just didnât understand why she had left. They had been fine, good really. They were by no means conventional, most wouldnât even consider them a couple, but they knew what they were to one another. They had practically been living together in two separate apartments when she had just up and disappeared. Alastor would have been worried, but he could feel it in his bones that this wasnât a mishap of the war, this was simply Gabi leaving. He would let her, if that was what she truly wanted, but he needed to know why. What reason did he give her to just up and run? But, he had found her, or at least, he had found another lead that had brought him to the apartment door he was standing outside of, now. He raised his fist to the wood, knocking a few times before stepping back.
The girl he loved -- the muggle girl he loved -- had held his baby son in his arms and demanded answers and Jacob had been unable to give any. After one last desperate plea that they move abroad with him, met with rejection and hurt and the assertion that London was their home, Jacob had gone. So fast she would never be able to trace him. Hopefully neither would the Death Eaters who had threatened him with join them or die. None of the Death Eaters wanted to see another Mimi Thomas, a fierce blaze of hatred against them, so furious she had struck down her own older sister and left a place in the ranks for the next in line. No, they wanted another Leah. Someone who would speak for their cause from within the walls of the law and help them avoid persecution. In all those years, Jacob had never made the decision. Which of his sisters, or his parents, should he side with? Which side of the war was he on? In the end, there was only one decision he could see which might let Dean grow up away from war.
That had been a year ago and a few months later the news had trickled back from Britain that the war was over but it had still taken him some time to truly believe it, enough to feel it was time to do what he never expected to do once he finally escaped his homeland: to return.
Diagon Alley in peacetime was very different to how it had been in war and Jake felt he could breathe in a way he had not been able to before he had moved away. It actually brought a smile to his face as he commented, âWhat a difference a year makes.â
"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family.â
The Dearborns:
Millie ~Â Adria Arjona
Caradoc ~ Iain De Caestecker
Gabrielle Hope ~ Victoria Justice
Oliver Caradoc ~ Jake T. Austin
@dearbornxcaradocâ
under a readmore for length/acknowledging itâs a bit sad
Starting a family had always been something on Millie and Caradocâs minds. With a war brewing, the two didnât actively try to get pregnant. They werenât in the habit of using protective measures so it wasnât much of a surprise when they discovered Millie was expecting. She took a step back from the Order, actively participating in meetings and planning things out but not doing anything that would risk the one bit of hope she and Caradoc had in an otherwise chaotic world.
Their little girl was born on a snowy December day, arriving two days before Christmas of 1980. She was truly the only gift the Dearborns needed. The baby was named Gabrielle and the little family was content with their three. Millieâs mother stepped in to help when needed.
The summer of 1981 turned the Dearbornâs lives upside down. Caradoc went missing during a mission and didnât return to the Order headquarters. Dumbledore delivered the news to Millie himself, mentioning that they were intercepted by Death Eaters and a body hadnât been found. She pulled out of the Order that very moment and showed up sobbing on her motherâs doorstep with her daughter and a small suitcase of their things.
Missing person flyers were scattered around various parts of the wizarding community but none of them ever brought any answers. Millie went on hoping that Caradoc would show up since they hadnât ever located his wand or anything that belonged to him.
A day in September was marked by Millie dropping by the hospital. Several days spent feeling ill left her fearing she may have come down with something. It was a bit of a shock to learn she was several weeks pregnant.
Her son was born in the middle of May, with a head of hair similar to his fatherâs. She gave him the name Oliver (the one she and Caradoc had agreed on if Gabrielle had been a boy) and used Caradoc as his middle name.
The children were raised knowing their dad was a hero and Millie spent years hoping that he would return.

As you all know, we recently did a poll to decide what kind of AU week you would like to see and future week won! This is just a small post to give you a few more details about the event.Â
- Admin Team
When: Today, Monday the 27th of April at 5pm EST / 10pm GMT+1 until Monday the 4th of May at 5pm EST / 10pm GMT+1
About: This week is just a fun few days to explore your characterâs future. As you can see this is an AU week so if your character dies, or you just havenât got a solid future for them yet, this does not have to be canon, nor do you have to stick with it. For example, Lily and James could have five kids and live until theyâre 100 years old. Thereâs no real rules for what you can and canât do, because this is just supposed to be a bit of fun.
You can play your characters when theyâre older or even their children. So if you have a ship, you could each play one of their kids, or you could have children and parents/aunts/cousins interacting, whatever you desire!
You can do any time in the future, whatever youâd like. Or you could not get involved at all, this is not a mandatory event.
Details: Please put the date in all your starters so that other people know when it is. Please tag all starters with âbellofutureâ, and donât forget to put them in the starters channel on discord.Â
the ancient and most noble house of black
after an argument with doris, regulus shakes off the daze he had been living in, and while he had been convinced that only by dying would he be able to atone for the things he had done, the words stop being an idiot; you donât have to do this alone, keep ringing in his ears. he snapped out of it and went to see the one person he knew he could trust, dorcas meadowes. with her help and thus that of the order, they were able to level the game, and give the order a fighting chance. regulus was ready to spent time in azkaban, there had to be a way to make up for everything he had done, but the wizengamont failed in his favor and was kept out of prison. the dark mark on his arm a reminder of the mistakes he had made. but if he was being given a second chance at life he was going to do it right. he reconciled with doris, the love of his life, he never imagined she would take him back, and in an even more surprising twist she agreed to marry him. they had three beautiful children. @dxrispurkiss
lyra harper black; elizabeth gillies
orion preston black; ansel elgort
elara violet black; eliza scalen
lyra is a dead ringer for regulus, while elara is her motherâs spitting image, orion -the middle child- is of course the perfect combination of both. he was named not to honor his grandfather, but for the sake of his uncle, to have give the name a better connotation.
Location: Quidditch World Cup Quarter Final // Brazil vs. Wales
Some people would say the shirt had started it. Others would say it was the gossip-mongering Rita Skeeter still managed to drive. Whether it was an out of context comment or not, Gwen had heard her team bad-mouthed and she wasnât about to sit idly by. There was the ICWQC ban on managerial trash talk, but when had little things like authority ever managed to stop Gwenog Jones.Â
Sheâd removed the Haiti shirt, missed three fouls - which she would at least admit were fouls, eventually - and glared down the Brazilian teamâs manager. For two awful hours and eleven excruciating minutes. Sheâd seen Silva catch the snitch in her mindâs eye seconds before he actually did it. It was a beautiful dive. The welsh seeker couldnât have done it. So, perhaps, it was the guilty feeling created by her own doubt, combined with the crushing feeling of defeat, that made her see red when JosĂŠ Barboza made his sexist little comment and she punched him in the face before pulling her wand on him and his subsequently bloody nose.Â
Apparently, the healers said his skin had almost regrown by the time she was released. Sheâd escaped the photographers waiting outside the holding cells and found her way straight to a bar to drown her sorrows, and she was doing a pretty good job before someone caught up to her at last. âAlright! I know it was stupid! You donât have to say it!â she sighed, head hitting the table with a thud. âMy own bloody team has told me enough.â
