"I hate to see you cry."

► It is believed by a significant amount of people that shedding tears is nothing more than a simple sign of weakness, but that wasn’t what Baekhyun thought. In his opinion, when one were to shed tears, they were trying to wash way each and every sorrow that tampered with their everyday life, and that’s exactly what he sought out to do. He didn’t want to endure this stage of his any longer, he wanted to return to the life that he once lived in the past. Before this treacherous obstacles had blocked his pathway. He wanted to return to a life where everything was nothing but smiles for him, where he lived a happy life with the people whom he held dearest to his heart. But that was simply something out of his reach.

The place where Baekhyun normally went to whenever he needed to let his emotions out was inside of his closet. He has never once enjoyed crying in front of others, which was why he chose such a location to keep himself hidden away from the public. His arms were coiled around his legs and his forehead was pressed on his knee caps. He’s letting his tears stream down his cheeks without trying to cease the flow, for he was well aware that it wouldn’t suffice. His body is slightly flinching whilst soft whimpers were emitting from him. He isn’t well with keeping his feelings hidden, but he’s trying.

He assumed that Sehun would be asleep considering the time of day, however his assumptions were wrong, for the younger male was still awake. His ear was pressed against the flat of the door as if he were trying to detect where the sounds of faint sobs were coming from, and so he twisted the door knob and quickly opened the door. Baekhyun knew that it was none other than Sehun, but he didn’t want the other to see him in such a state. Hugging his legs closer to his chest, he shook his head—a gesture to state that he wasn’t in any condition to speak, nor come out.

"Baekhyun." The younger male spoke out softly, his position shifting until his knees were settled upon the floor. However the brunette hadn’t muttered a single word when it was his turn to speak, and silence filled the space they were confined in. It felt as if everyone in his life had left him, but Sehun was there. Sehun was always there. Reaching out a hand to take the other’s into his grasp, he did nothing but squeeze it—letting him know that he’s going to be alright; that he’s used to feeling this way.

"I hate to see you cry." Almost immediately after he had spoken, he returned the squeeze the elder had given not too long ago, tugging Baekhyun off the floor and into his tight embrace where he held him close. Just as he would generally do whenever he was crying his heart out.
