Ok I'm gonna start this off by saying that I'm soooo excited about an X-Men tv show. But I have to tell you that I'd do a lot differently. Firstly I believe that recasting a character is NEVER EVER a good idea. Especially when the character was an incredible asset to the film or show. It's a horrible idea and immediately puts people off. Now that said I think that it also changes a character. The feel and the expectations for that character then become put at risk. So it's a bad idea. (That's not to say that it could never go well. And to say the Chung isn't an amazing actress.) Secondly, I think this show should stick closer to the source material and introduce the non comic audience to more lore from the X-Men comics. Use characters like Forge (rumored already) and others that haven't been introduced. Characters like the morlocks (as an X-Men like team), the marauders (as a replacement for the brotherhood), sentinels, a larger government villain like a younger Senator Kelly or Grayson Creed, with some of the new X-Men kids as main characters like Pixie, Hellion, Mercury, Rockslide, or Surge. Then there can be talks about making the universe more inclusive with the movies and Legion. Even bringing in cameos from the actors in the films like jubilee or archangel or Psylocke and expand their roles. Which leads me to my third point. Fox and Singer and everyone involved should be trying to make moves to create a cinematic universe like the MCU but better. The X-men have so much history that should be explored and if they do it right can create a sort of movement or force that Marvel won't be able to ignore. They can branch out and get more support from fans and create new ones. It would be hard work that's true and be very difficult but I think with some planning and some organizing they could pull it off. Especially with Xforce and New Mutants coming up they could really create a connected universe and start doing some great things. Lastly I think that they should start getting the timelines fixed up. I understand that they have films all over the time line but I think that they should start moving towards a connected one now that Logan has come out. Use Cable and Xforce to time travel back to where the X-Men are. Add the new mutants into the picture and then start moving them forward. Then they can bring in characters like Colossus and Rogue again (and get rogue right)
