OUT OF THE QUIET // black seed sown in disgrace , he would emerge : everything is calm in his wake. only shadows stir, completely unnoticed by those who GUARD the most holy ( where was that clingy bodyguard of his? ). a devilish grin plastered on his face --- this was just too easy -- accompanied by soft footsteps. his only company is the LIGHT that graces the window he rests upon, tireless gaze upon the emperor. his grin grows wider ; body sidled to the sill , leg resting over the side.
‘ it’s been a WHILE . . . i see you’ve taken excellent care of that body i left you. ’ // @xingheir

casually flops on the sin. he nap.
SWEET PERSEPHONE SIGHS / the garden is in full bloom : voluminous scents carried on the wind. it is no wonder refuge is preferred to be taken here , the odd muteness & combination of chilled wind beneath the heat of the sun are welcoming. ( though, of course for someone like him there is no space where the senses of the xingese people won’t alert them to his presence ). it is no surprise that ling can find him so easily.
HE WON’T SAY ANYTHING for now / there are no words that really need to be spoken out loud , even when the avarice moves his body to a more preferrable position for the other to rest on. he still says nothing save for a short sigh & an uttered ‘ dumb ass ‘ under his breath. one of his hands will rest ever so casually on the other’s hand. the two would sit comfortably in silence together for a while yet.
& HE WILL NOT rouse the emperor from his much needed rest until absolutely necessary.

*cracks knuckles* alright. you asked for it !!
greed likes to hear stories about ling’s home and clan. the very idea of a family & a culture that actually values its citizens really speak to him. & although greed will grumble & roll his eyes ; he could listen to ling for hours on end talking about them.
he finds ling’s pep talks irritating but invigorating. he always knows just what to say to get him pumpin.
after he killed bido, greed went into silence & just kept moving ( while his memories kept resurfacing ) until ling took his body back & went to ed.
speaking of memories, i personally hc that the two can see each other’s memories through their own eyes.
greed had, at first, been intending on crushing ling’s soul so he could have his body ( or try to push him into the recesses of his consciousness ), but upon finding just how useful ling was to him, he decided to back out on it.
Zuko's golden eyes narrowed slightly as he studied the stranger before him. A young man with an easy smile and a sharpness in his gaze that couldn't be hidden, no matter how carefree he tried to seem. @xingheir, had introduced himself in a flourishing bow that felt half mocking, half sincere. One Zuko didn’t return. His instincts told him to be cautious with his trust. Something about Ling Yao, the ambition burning behind his casual words, the relentless energy he carried like a second skin, felt... familiar. Unsettlingly so.
"You’re a long way from home," Zuko said at last, his tone was friendly, but there was a great deal of caution behind his amber eyes. "You must want something," he added, stepping down from the dais, his boots striking the stone floor with a decisive echo.
