You had just moved into a new part of the city with your mother. The move had been hard since you two had managed to escape the toxic environment with your alcoholic father.

Being the two to move all the things you could gather was very difficult. Everything was well planned, even a few of your friends had helped you store the things inside the moving truck but were unable to go with you two because the place you were to move to was quite far from here.

Your friends all bid your farewell because that may be the last time they would see you. However, a few of them warned you about the new district. He had said that there was a boy who lived there and was known to be a 'lady killer'.

They did not go into detail but you were afraid to scare your mom even more with knowing that a murdered was on the loose in the place where you two thought would be an escape. You just had to protect your mother even if it was the last thing you did.

The new house you were to make your home was a small apartment which you had to pay rent at every 28th of the month. It was not too cheap yet not too expensive as well. You probably had to take two jobs to help with the pay.

As your mother suggested that she would sort the things out inside the rooms, you in exchange would have to carry the boxes from the front yard to the house.

It was heavy for one person to do but you knew no one from this neighborhood so you were hesitant in asking for help. It was until this charming looking boy approached you with the brightest smile.

"You must be our new neighbor. My mother told me to bring in haidilao as a welcoming present." He said as he showed you the bowl in his hands.

You were still carrying the box so you just looked at him then at the box at your hand. He quickly picked up on the situation and grinned cheekily. "How about you put this inside and I can help you bring the boxes inside?"

"Thank you...ah.."

"Xikan. Li Xikan." He introduced as he placed the haiidilao on of the boxes and started to carry the boxes inside.

"Oh, who is this, y/n?" Your mother smiled as Xikan stacked the boxes by the corner of the house.

"I'm Xikan! Your neighbor. It's nice to see a new face in town." He bowed at your mom who simply chuckled. She introduced the two of you to your neighbor.

"Are you really alright with helping us, Xikan?" Your mother asked as more boxes were being piled inside with both you and Xikan carrying them in.

"No worries. It's always nice to be nice to people." It seem like he had lived by that motto.

Your mom shot you a glance as if she had approved of Xikan to be one of your friends. You nodded a little and filed behind Xikan as you tried to carry the last two boxes outside.

One of Xikan's friends, Chengcheng who you heard Xikan call quickly waved at him from across the street. It was until his eyes met yours that caused the taller male to grin mischievously at Xikan.

"Oh please don't.." you heard Xikan whisper.

"Don't what...?" You raised an eyebrow at him and was shaken when Chengcheng screamed.

"Lady Killer is at it again! You're already charming your cute neighbor while the rest of the boys aren't here to meet her!"

Lady killer? Li Xikan...the boy who had been kind to you all day...was the lady killer?

Wait a minute (woo woo woo woo woo woo skrr skrr), something sounded wrong. Did he just say that Xikan was charming you?

You looked at the boy next to you and he released a tired sigh. "Y/n...sorry. Please just ignore him.."

"A-ah...alright." you nodded before you and Xikan continued moving the last things you had inside.

Your mother told Xikan that he should have dinner over as a thank you for helping out in the move. The boy was just too kind that he also volunteered to help you out in washing the dishes.

As Xikan left the house, you saw Chengcheng saunter towards you with a playful grin. "So how do you like the lady killer?" He wiggled his eyebrows as you both watched Xikan disappear into his house.

"Why do you call him that...?" You asked out of curiousity and this only made the tall boy smile even smugly.

"You saw how he was today. Any lady would die to have someone do that to them and Xikan does it out of kindness. He basically kills them because Xikan has that kind of charm...yet, he still chooses not to go into relationships." Chengcheng hummed and you just nodded.

"So he does not actually murder women...the rumors were wrong from our town." You mumbled to yourself which made you chuckle.

"At this rate, I bet he'd kill you too with his charms." Chengcheng waved at you before he walked back to his house. "Will the lady killer finally bend for someone? I can't wait to find out..." he told himself, but making sure you could hear it.

You did not make much of it though, instead you whipped out your phone and decided to text your friends that maybe they understood wrong about the lady killer and how nice he actually was.

That night you were bombarded by messages in your inbox.
