Hey I’m new, so I don’t know if you already talked about this. It’s kind of interesting to think about why they formed on X factor. So obviously the producers could never of anticipated the success of 1D when putting together the reality tv show. But trying to look back on it logically, Liams comeback story was a big focus point that could be used in a quick 8second previews between Ad breaks. A bit of a story line to keep viewers enthralled in their programming. And I’m inclined to believe that they had had these boys in mind for awhile to be put together, and it had to be checked out by Simon and all the producers and such, and not so much a spur of the moment decision to save them after they got knocked out of the competition. Also, there age and appearance/attractiveness fit the certain demographic for a ‘boy band’ look. Obviously they where talented kids, and I sure as hell would never of had the confidence to do that at 16. It’s a bit wild to think about, how everything lined up and how much luck and other people’s motives where at play, but I suppose that’s with most things right?
