"Xenodash" by Sheik Mainland. Black ver.

These little robots are ridiculously articulated for how small and simple they are. I'm going to have a lot of fun messing with them. They come with a couple weapons, some being modular, and a decent hand selection. Open, holding, closed and peace signs. The stands also have a really nice storage function to hold all the hands on the underside. There are earless heads included as well.

Now if you know anything about these, you'll probably know they're noticeably smaller than something like a Gundam HG, standing at 10cm according to the box. They're very short. But you do get 2 of them.

Another thing to note is that the eyes are NOT colour-separated. Everything is molded black (I'm not sure if other colour variants use black accessories or if everything uses the chosen colour, so that would be worth checking too). I tried a simple permanent marker, but it barely showed up (at least on black). Instead I found a paint marker, I had this nice light red that very much reminds me of some monoeye stickers. You can see in the image below that I coated around the sides of the eye, but I don't really recommend this. You can barely see the sides from the outside, and the extra thickness from the paint makes it harder to fit the mask and head pieces back together. This also makes it very hard not to scrape paint off the sides when doing so. Just paint the front instead.

Speaking of, the fit of the mask is very tight even without paint. I would recommend not putting the mask on until you've painted the eye, purely because getting it off to do anything is really difficult.

The plastic is quite hard and the joints feel quite solid. I'm no expert but I don't think that the connections will degrade anytime soon. That being said, runner production is evidently not perfect. One of my butt pieces was very deformed (fortunately they include two butt pieces per figure, since one has a stand connection), but more broadly the runners seem to be cut a little messily. I noticed some jagged or stressed surfaces where I assume they've been cut, but not close enough to compromise the pieces. Except for that butt, but I don't think that was a cutting issue. Still, pretty good and very solid. Only a couple pieces with some flash (apparently that's what the excess plastic is called), which was very easy to clean up.
