An interesting thing about this game is that the three protagonist options (The Alchemist, the Vanquisher, and the Destroyer) are all significant NPCs in Torchlight II
Well, the Alchemist is the literal villain, actually.

Replaying Torchlight
Reliving my childhood
I'm nostalgia gaming right now and for the past few days have been replaying Torchlight II...
...and tell me how is it that this brain has completely forgotten how fucking huge the Zeryphesh map is. My pet has been to the city to sell the goodies upwards of 5 times and we haven't even done any of the quests or completely un-fogged of war the whole freaking map.
We've only just been to the edges of the map and I've died 4 FREAKING TIMES (skill issue but whatever). I've been jumpscared by the the nomads and burrowing beetles for probably more than 20 times now. I've went and murked 5 bosses now (give or take). Broke probably hundreds of urns and crates. Discovered 2 caves, the Tower of the Moon (though it's not open yet), a warpgate to another area, the waypoint portal, and the phase portal
AND SOMEHOW WE STILL HAVEN'T UNCOVERED THE ENTIRE MAP.
I'm on the verge of being sick of this desert but I'm a ducking completionist so I will fucking CLEAR THIS AREA OF EVERYTHING EVEN IF I'M SICK OF THE SAND.
All these question marks will have to fucking wait, the Sphinx is eternal and the people will have to find a way to be immortal because I ain't doing any of the quests until the tiniest corner of Zeryphesh is uncovered.

I’m so proud of her!
I don’t like torchlight marches and processions.
The imagery and connotations give me the Ick.
Shit genuinely terrifies me.
Because of historical connotations primarily, as well as recent developments. (If you know, well….)
