High For This || Quinnivan
A heavy sigh escaped the boy’s lips as he hesitantly knocked on the door. He was dressed better this time, in his only pair of jeans that didn’t have holes in them and a navy blue dress shirt that was two sized too small for him. It was either this, or his flannel and remembering how Quinn disapproved of his clothes from last time, he knew that he had to wear the shirt even if it felt like his circulation was being cut off. Cole tried desperately to forget that the last time he wore this shirt was three years ago to his mother’s funeral. If she knew he was wearing this now for some man to take off for money ….his poor poor mother.
Though Cole liked to think that she’d understand. Understand that he had no other options in keeping Owen and himself alive and away from their abusive uncle and together. Besides, he didn’t have much of an option, the moment he signed his name on his contract for the agency, he belonged to them. They paid for Owen’s schooling, their apartment they lived in, and Cole made sure Owen never knew about this. In his little brother’s head, he worked at a factory, and that’s how it was going to stay. Cole would continue to keep working for them, living on 60% of his commission - the rest going to the agency - and their strict rules.
The big one being, never fall in love with a client.
Cole never feared for this to happen to him, he knew he wasn’t cut out for all the love bullshit. Owen, out of the two of them, deserved to be swept away by a prince charming, not Cole. He accepted this at a young age, when he was forced to grow up and see how cruel the world really is. It didn’t bother him…yet that was before he met Quinn.Â
No, the boy wasn’t in love but he was starting to crush on the man. His accent, the way he carried himself, just everything about him was intoxicating, leaving Cole breathless in more ways than the sex. It scared him, how willing he was to do anything for the man, just to hear a praise fall from those perfect lips or even a smile. He never felt this way about a client before.
Cole gently knocked again on the door, worried that maybe he had gotten the address wrong or maybe this was a flux. Maybe the man never did sign up for another session with him. As he waited he glanced around at the hotel and noticed that again, it was expensive like the last one. Cole didn’t end up staying there like Quinn had offered, he did though order a hamburger and an extra order of fries, that he took home to shared with Owen later that night. He hoped Quinn wasn’t mad at him.
When the door finally opened, Cole smiled softly, a blush already forming at his cheeks as he stuttered out, “H-hi…”
