Toe is permanently flat and paw is at a weird angle, but at least he can walk without a limp now, and when the weather is cooler again, he has had the all-clear to go running around up the field and going for long walks down to the river again. For a 12yo lab mutt, he's holding together not too bad!

I haven't abandoned or forgotten the requests, just other things have taken priority. Xander's just had to go back to the vet to get ANOTHER course of antibiotics (he had an infection pocket caused by a stubborn stitch that wouldn't dissolve), and im struggling to pull myself out of this depressive episode.
That said, I did write three (3) sentences of a oneshot yesterday!
... and then promptly deleted an entire paragraph because I'd pretty much repeated myself.
Bloody dimwit of a demon pupper! He's only gone and ruptured one of the internal stitches on his worst side! I'm currently waiting to see if he needs to head up to the emergency clinic (my poor bank account lol!) - I need to monitor him over the next 1-2 hours, if it doubles in size or more, then he needs to go up to have it re stitched. I'm just hoping it settles on its own (similar happened when he was neutered, and the bleeding stopped naturally, so I'm hoping the same happens now🤞)
Pic of the lumpy pup below the cut (there's no blood, but thought it best just in case anyone's squeamish with a neatly stitched seam...)
He's in labrador mode, it seems (I have no clue what his other half is!):
