All James does is nod in response, letting his head fall back against the couch cushions when the girl walks away, his eyes closed. His knee still bounces up and down rapidly despite how still the rest of him is, and he ignores the pain flaring like wild fire from his knuckles in lieu of taking deep, calming breaths lest his anger gets the best of him and he snaps at the girl despite her efforts to help him. Punching a mirror definitely wasn't the brightest idea he's ever had, but his shrink was always one to tell him that it was better to hit an inanimate object rather than a person, and had he not been so wired, he might've laughed at the memory. He swallows when he hears the girl return, and he cracks an eye open, catching in his periphery the previously white towel now matted with red. "Did my brother put you up to this?"
