#Repost @christianmmeier ・・・ Could this possibly be the best race bike I have ever ridden? The final bike in our Operation Heart of Steel series with @columbus_official brings us a stunner from @legorcicli . Though it may look a bit unassuming with its classic looking small tubes and geometry, this bike is a killer! Built with Columbus XCR stainless steel the bike has a lightness to it that I had not yet experienced in steel, though the frame weight is similar to others the properties of XCR give it a much different ride quality. Combining this with the @dariopegoretti Falz Fork and a more race geometry the bike absolutely rips on the downhills and is super responsive on the uphills. We built this bike as a performance machine and we will give the real test when I take it to @haute_route Alps at the end of the month. The rest of the build is finished off with @sramroad Etap, @quarq_official powermeter, @fabriccycling ALM saddle and @zippspeed 202s and finishing kit! Oh, and of course @ceramicspeed BB and OSPW.. . . .More on this bike after a bit more testing, tough job I know… . . . . .

A gravel build capable of handling 700x42 or 650bx2.1 . The build is a full Enve cockpit and 4.5AR wheelset. The 1x drivetrain is a mix of Ultegra and XT Di2 with Easton SL90 cranks. Finished off with Supacaz bar tape, Arundel bottle cages, Fabric Scoop saddle and WTB Exposure tires. I wanted to showcase how great steel can be and debunk some of the myths that seem to still surround this material. We came up with an idea to do three bikes with three builders.
