These cafe lights come with WS2811s inside. Power them with 12V, and you can send them 5V NeoPixel signals to light up individual 3 RGB LEDs inside for a nice, bright outdoor look. They're weatherproof and even come with a weatherproof connector, so they'll survive outdoor installation. They'll work great in Arduino, CircuitPython, or WLED. We often work with 'true analog' LED strips (https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=analog+LED), with 1-3 channels of RGB or White LEDs. Controlling these takes a bit of wiring since they almost always need 12VDC and driver FETs. To make our lives easier, and maybe even some customer's too, here's a STEMMA board (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3893) that can convert a NeoPixel signal using a WS2811F to three AO3406 N-channel FETs (https://www.digikey.com/short/438tn2hb) that are high efficiency and can sink a chunk of current. There's a 3-channel 74LVC3G14 (https://www.digikey.com/short/tqq3tm3m) inverter to convert the WS2811 output signal, open drain, to the NFETs. 5 terminal block ports allow easy wiring of the +12V, ground, and RGB common-anode channels. Unfortunately, the WS2811 does not support 4 channels, so this won't work for RGBW strips. Still, folks often need 1 or 3 channels!

We've got working Pixel Shifter prototype PCBs, leveling WS2811s and inverting TM1814s—final boards are booked! Also revising the Floppsy board for 3.25" drives, adding buttons, Apple Disk support, & more. Plus, we’re on the hunt for a short rotary encoder!

We recently used a 'bare' WS2811 chip for a design of a Stemma "NeoPixel signal to Analog RGB LED strip" board, and we thought having a breakout for the WS2811F chip we used would be handy - basically let folks use their own LEDs or backlights or whatever, with NeoPixel standard signals. This breakout is 0.5x0.5 inches and has 8 pins on a 0.3" spacing. The LED has to be common anode, so we put down two V+ pins. 0402 components make this a compact design; we added 22 ohms in and output resistors and a 47-ohm resistor on the V+ input just to tamp down on oscillations and possible light overvolting.
