She decided she wanted to be an author when she was ten years old, and the summer she was thirteen, she tried to write a sci-fi trilogy about teenagers trying to save the world from an alien apocalypse. The “books” were apparently neither novel-length nor very good, but they taught her a lot about the writing process, and motivated her to keep writing future projects, which definitely paid off! Also, her books are available on Libby, and are free to read for anyone in the U.S. through the Queer Liberation Library! Check to see if they are available through your local library system, or even ask your library to purchase them for you.

Her preferred genre is high fantasy! She writes novels, long projects, although lately she says she’s been dabbling in shorter story forms like short stories.
