You were in your room for the evening, snuggled up under your covers with your favourite book. Dressed in a pair of black sweatpants and a black tank top. The lamp on your night stand being the only thing casting a light in your room, emitting a soft yellow glow.

After the day you had, all you wanted to do was relax.

It wasn't like your day was particularly hard. However, going to school and working part time really drains the energy out of you.

You were about to finish a chapter when all of a sudden your phone buzzed twice.

You placed your bookmark between the pages to not lose where you were, before placing the book on your covers and picking up your phone.

There was a text from your best friend Steve and your boyfriend Billy.

Steve: Can you come over tomorrow and help me with the chemistry homework? 🥺

Billy: Babe, just one picture, don't make me beg... 💦

You rolled your eyes at the text from your boyfriend. No hi. No how are you. Just straight to the point, but you didn't see the harm in sending one.

You kept a folder of suggestive pictures in your phone for occasions like this where he asks for one and you're already settled in bed, skin care routine done and everything.

Plus, the thought of him being so needy while you sat there unbothered was highly amusing.

You were about to reply to Steve first when there was a knock at the door before your mom poked her head in, her usual warm smile on display.

"Hey hun, your father and I were thinking of making popcorn and watching a movie, would you care to join us?"

You could feel how exhausted you were, wanting to say no, but it wasn't often that both of your parents were available to do something as mundane as watching a movie.

"Sure mom, i'll be right down"

She left with a small ok as you went back to your phone to reply to them.

You put your phone on charge before sliding your feet into your slippers and grabbing a blanket before making your way downstairs where your dad already had your favorite movie cued up.

About two hours later the end credits were rolling and you could really feel the exhaustion now. You gave both your parents a kiss on the cheek before heading back up to your room and collapsing onto your bed. You reached for your phone to check your notifications one last time before falling asleep.

Steve and Billy had both answered but their texts were confusing.

Steve: Oh fuck... you finally ditched that asshole? 🥵

Billy: and what would you need your textbook for??

Steve's text made no sense to your sleep deprived brain. What asshole? You opened the chat and what you saw made you sit up in bed, hand over your mouth in shock.

Oh Fuck.

You had sent Steve the picture.
