i keep wondering about lil' miss yellow eyes up at the top of this image. who is she?
i've decided that, contrary to all logic, canon, fanon, and current theories: this is stolas' twin sister. no one knows that she exists. his mom ran away with her before stolas hatched.
therefore, season three will be an elaborate retelling of 'the parent trap' and stolas and his ponytailed sister will come up with some hilarious (possibly hell-larious) hijinks to get king paimon to stop dating striker and get back together with their mother.
i will be taking all questions, folding them into decorative shapes, and doing something whimsical with the results.
Can anyone else think of a time when someone was reading a book to you, or when you and another person were reading a book together, and that person paused to make a comment about the plot that turned out to be totally wrong?
When my mom and I were reading Alanna: The First Adventure together when I was in fifth grade, we reached the chapter about the sweating sickness, and the characters were talking about how clearly this illness was caused by magic. My mom assumed this was just meant to show the medical ignorance in the medieval setting – she turned to me and said "In those days, they didn't know about germs." But what do we find out later? The disease was created by magic – the villainous Duke Roger sent it to kill the royal family.
Two books later, during The Woman Who Rides Like a Man, I was sad about Alanna and Jonathan's breakup. My dad thought he knew the conventions of romance in YA literature, and he assured me that Alanna and Jon were just having "a lovers' spat" and would get back together by the end. But do they? No! They're basically a medieval fantasy Jo and Laurie: they reconcile as friends, but both end up with other love interests who are much better suited to them.
A few years later, my homeschool teacher and I were reading The Murders in the Rue Morgue together. When we reached the part where detective Dupin explains that the dead old woman's broken bones and bruises weren't inflicted by a blunt weapon (as was originally thought), but just the result of her falling to the ground from the window, my teacher remarked "So she jumped!" She thought the theory the police had dismissed earlier in the story, that the old woman committed suicide, would turn out to be true. But right away I knew she was wrong. The woman's throat was cut too, so deeply that she was nearly beheaded: no one can do that to themselves and then jump out a window afterwards! And sure enough, I was right. She was killed and then thrown out the window by – 184-year-old spoiler alert – an escaped orangutan.
Does anyone else have any stories like these?
Popular theories of last season wich where proven untrue. 1.-Starkbowl! Sansa betrays Jon! Sansa conspire with LF! The Starkbowl was between the sisters. Sansa was Jon biggest supporter when he was in Dragonstone. Sansa sentences LF to die for his crimes. 2.-Ramsay´s baby with Sansa! NO COMMENT. 3.-The AOTD is gonna be Drgontoast when Dany´s come! NK oneshots Viserion and nearly did the same to Drogon forcing Dany to flee. 4.-Dany wipping Cersei! Cersei wips Dany´s allies.
If we have learned anything from the promotin of the last seasons it is that we should not trust the narrative they tease just before the season and mid-season. You could also cite “Dark Sansa” before season 5, and then she was really at her lowpoint and her story in season 5 was mostly that of a pawn until she finally escaped, than you had “Jon is dead” before season 6.... And Starkbowl was heavily teased in between seasons, while your other points were more fan theories than promotional strategies.
Anyway the more they tease Jonerys, the more happy I’ll be, because that will certainly mean that there will be a break up!
I must admit that I was rather surprised that Cersei stood her ground that well in season 7. I had expected some uproar or rebellion because of her burning the sept, but I’m glad she’s still around. She will die, I’m sure about that, but I enjoy Lena so much, that I’m glad, Cersei is not dead yet!
One of the problems is of course, that the show does not address every problem they tease.... Like Cersei blowing up the sept should have repercussions, or at least they could have shown that there were problems that only were solved after Da€nerys invaded and the mistrust against Targs made the people band together behind Cersei.
Thanks for the ask!
i'm noticing a recurring theme where every dark world so far has had all of its darkners abandoned.
the unused classroom is unused. obviously. king's whole motivation is he wants revenge for the lightners abandoning him.
but the cyber world too. queen's whole evil plan is because the internet in hometown is out, so nobody is using the computers in a long time.
the tv hasn't been used in a long, long time. it was unplugged until very recently. i bet tenna will want to keep the fountain open because he's been without purpose for so long, but now he's finally back on the air.
so what about the church, or the holiday house?
christmas decorations are only used once a year - those would be abandoned most of the time... what else might it be?

okay so basically. chapter 5 ends with the roaring interrupting the festival. ralsei tells you and and susie to evacuate the townsfolk and get everyone into the shelter - it's the only place safe from the roaring. it was designed for this. susie refuses, saying she wants to fight back against the titans. ralsei is like "You don't understand, Susie! This isn't something that can be fought back against " (while also omitting some very important information because he's ralsei) but susie doesn't listen and ralsei concedes and lets her stay with him. she tells kris that above all else they have to make sure noelle makes it to the bunker.
so you bring the townsfolk to the bunker. it is not a dark world. it's a bunker it's decrepit and creepy and filled with... weird sciencey stuff, that nobody dares touch. except for sans. he's very, very interested in all this equipment.
this entrance area is where the townsfolk will stay. but you and noelle will explore deeper into the bunker. it seems to be a place between light and dark. nothing quite makes sense here, but it doesn't exactly not make sense, either.
as you explore, you find lab entries numbered 1 through 16. (i like @/marnielovesyouu's idea where noelle figured out how to translate wingdings as you explore.) you fight weird, creepy enemies with vibes similar to the memoryheads.
at the end, you find gaster, who is currently making entry number 17. you don't think he's spotted you, until he turns around and says "WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK?"
when you get back to the safe room, sans and papyrus are nowhere to be found. nobody seems to know where they went. but a few things are conspicuously missing - a few gaster blasters, and a strange machine with an unclear purpose.
WAIT a second. chapter 3 is the first dark world location where you can go there in the light world first, and change things there too. maybe THAT'S why chapter 3 was so big on that spamton's silence page - chapter 3 will change depending on your light world actions! so, whether or not you stole money from asriel's drawer, whether or not you gave the flowers to toriel, how many times you flushed the toilet...!
maybe chapter 3 will be extremely different based on what route you're on because kris is the dark world's creator, and so their mental state will be vastly different between routes, affecting the world?
