Just completed yet another long weekend of work. I hate working long events with people I don't know, or who I'm not comfortable with, or alone. And that was the case for a majority of the weekend😒 Friday I worked a country music festival with this old man who just could not stop talking for more than 35 seconds or he would die I think! I literally think that was the case..I don't understand how someone can talk about the same 3 things for 10 plus hours 😩 & then harboring ribs so he won't have to cook this week because we got food vouchers. I was able to have my breaks with that pumpkin headed guy I know though &we got free food,so it wasn't such a terrible day. Saturday was a joke😂. I was working with Jerome & got switched with someone,to switch me with someone else, so that Jerome & I were "separated". They straight up said that & thought I didn't hear it...I was going to tell Jerome later, but he asked. Then nobody wanted to own up to being the originator of this petty nonsense. I felt like I was being bullied. Then a manager said over the radio that "the boyfriend & girlfriend" "walked off post together" when we simply went on a lunch break like everybody else did. Minding my business!..I was so confused by that..why would he feel comfortable saying that over the radio when he doesn't know us? Then the one girl who I was cool with,she was nice to me when I've worked with her previously....when I went on break she told me to get out of the area Jerome was at & told me not to speak to him..then told Jerome he was being defensive towards her for hollering at me because we ARE a couple. Like.....why is that on your mind? 😒 why is everyone concerning themselves with that? They didn't tell Lorraine train she couldn't have her boo on her deployment because they're a couple..because that just usually shouldn't come up in the work world. I really felt like I was being bullied & my business was being minded way too much 😒 But I did have some top notch sweet & sour chicken that day😋. I'm not even going to talk about how weird DC is & how unorganized & just terrible the whole lot of them are. I was glad that day was over! Sunday we worked in AC for a maroon 5 concert! We had a nice day on the beach.. I got to hear all my favorite maroon 5 songs live. Jerome has Mexican Jamaican feet & some lady worked in her dingy white sweat socks all day & I was like ew..why? Why are they letting her wear that? The only thing that kinda sucked was the lunches..I should have brung cash to get something better off the boardwalk, but I didn't..I survived though. On our way home we watched a terrible copy of shark tales & I need to finish watching that! I was too tired & tried to nap on Jerome's shoulder. His shoulders weren't being real comfortable. I'll be working in AC again this week & I hope it's just as easy going with good weather 🌞 Overall, I need a new job.
