There was a time she loved him holy
The ground he walked upon, a shrineÂ
She worshipped him for every lineÂ
Upon his touch, she would dissolveÂ
Any wrong doing she’d absolveÂ
There was a time she loved him blindlyÂ
With constellations in her eyes
There was a time that she admiredÂ
Her cells once dormant, now each firedÂ
Synapses sparkling in the darkÂ
There was a time he did no wrongÂ
Each word, each touch, a sacred songÂ
There was a time that she believed,Â
Within the sweetest love she livedÂ
There was a time when words came crashingÂ
Promises uttered now lay shatteredÂ
For action’s louder than words,Â
A lie upon his lips she kissedÂ
His halo vanished into mistÂ
A lonesome cursor blinked and blinkedÂ
Till all the scattered dots had linked
