The copy protection on this wizard's tomes means that only one person can remember their contents at once. It sounds like a clever idea to start with, but it really incentivises killing the owner to get their spells, so I wouldn't recommend it.

“What are you?” she asks. He smiles, an echo of the salacious grins he’s thrown to many before her. “Don't you want to find out?” Yennefer laughs low in her throat. The flicker of danger that alights Jaskier’s eyes is familiar. She leans in, waspish and unkind and dangerous. Jaskier meets her, petal soft and thorny, all at once. a falling in love story, featuring snippets of yennefer and jaskier
Twenty-five days as an Isekai'd hero
First day as an isekai'd hero I'm trying to explain gunpowder to a sceptical elf but I can't remember what saltpetre is so I'm just here talking about sulphur and charcoal and someone called Salty Pete and she's pretty sure I'm talking out my arse.
Second day as an isekai'd hero I'm still trying to get this busty elf to understand guns and I'm talking about how someone can be minimally trained and still be very dangerous at range and she just says yes I know what a crossbow is ma'am.
Third day as an isekai'd hero and my limited knowledge of fractional distillation is causing me to sound like a nutcase when I talk about the alchemical separation of naptha into more useful things.
Good Lord, man, this wizard War and Peace has become a most profound meditation on the nature of human suffering and the inexorable march of history. I have just observed a gentleman of noble bearing clasp his hands in contemplation and murmur something regarding 'the eternal questions of existence,' whereupon all those assembled began to question their fundamental assumptions about life, experienced deep existential anguish about the meaninglessness of their social positions, and then wandered off to write lengthy letters to their families about forgiveness. The chroniclers paid him no mind, as it is not Great Men who make history, it is the combination of thousands of individual events building on each other that cause the real motions of the world. Meanwhile, I have been casting minor spells of social awkwardness and level 2 guilt about one's place in society. I believe I overheard someone intone 'power word: introspection' near the officers' quarters. I must retreat to my estate to ponder the futility of it all.

For a while after using a teleporter, you're allowed to commit any sin because, while the body is destroyed and reconstituted at the destination immediately (due to tachyon tight-beams), the soul can only travel at light speed and while it starts reeling back in immediately, there's a lag before it slams into the new body.
This is why interstellar travel has to use space-pinching drives in spaceships, otherwise their souls will take years to relocate their bodies, and who knows what'll have happened by then.
People call them "wizards' duels" as if they're not rap battles in programming languages.
Extremely specific emotion: remembering what it felt like to first get into a piece of media, the texture of it, even though that's not how you feel about the story any more. Like how, perhaps, there was infinite potential ways it could go, back when you didn't know how it was going to end.
Maybe it felt like it was one thing, then became another thing instead as you put the pieces together, but you can remember what both versions of this felt like?
