There's supposed to be the last prompt for this event upcoming - but allow me a short PSA.

I've boosted 8 entries this week, good quality emotionally touching writing - and there has been only one or two interactions in total.

Frankly, this is not what this event is intended for, and I thus am very reluctant to host it again. This is about writing yourselves, but this is also about seeing what others do with the same prompts, sharing work among each other and growing together. It is especially meant as a platform for younger, smaller blogs to help them find a community.

This blog has more than 4,000 followers who seem to search for this, and always some active participants, so this goes out to you: interact! Mingle! Read what others wrote and grow together! Not everyone needs to read everything ; no, of course not - but maybe check out one or two of your fellow writers works, especially if you are participating yourself. I promise, you'll make someone's day.

It’s been ages since I wrote much, but here we go:

“What is your greatest desire?” The voices whispered. 

And she always answered with darkness. 

I love to see all the entries for backstory weeks that are queued - and also a huge thank you for everyone who participated in the holiday edition!

HOWEVER, let me add a friendly reminder: this event is not only about showcasing your work! Neither about silent watching. It's also about community building!

Sadly, there has been a huge drop in interacting / reacting, which is what this blog has initially been built for...

As always, we start it lightly: Just give a introductory drabble on the characters you wish to enter, so we can get to know them before further prompts start from next Monday.

Here’s two possible prompts for that:

(a) Imagine they are stuck somewhere (waiting in an airport, adrift in a lifeboat, having their curls done at the hairdresser, whatever) and a young kid asks them „who are you?“. How would that dialogue play out?

(b) Start with the words “My name is [your character’s name]” and have them introduce themself!
