You don’t always understand until you are in that persons shoes. I sit here with palpitations, sweating, a shaky body, a sick feeling in my gut and a worried mind. I don’t feel safe in my surroundings, in fact I feel panicked. My surroundings are my own things in my own room. But why don’t I feel how I do usually? How do these terrors stop? I understand now and I need rescuing. Just like you did when I fought for you to carry on. How can anyone carry on in a state of panic. Would you carry on in a fire? No is the answer.
