thinking about Worm World, the worm themed theme park in southern maine.
Worm World's main attraction is The Legend which is a coaster with no speed governor which frequently goes up to 35% faster than design tolerances allow.
It also has another rollercoaster called Alexandria which is the euthanasia coaster but there's 53 beehives next to the track. (Also two mud dauber nests but they aren't supposed to be there and management can't be assed to hire an exterminator). Guests at the park can buy Warlord Honey which is harvested from the beehives at the park and is actually like really good.
Guests at the park can do meet n' greets with beloved Wormies, like Bitch, who always brings dogs (any guests that touch the dogs without permission are beaten and bodily thrown from the park).
Any park guests who are injured or feeling unwell can go to Bonesaw's clinic, which is just, like, a completely normal first aid station, but. why did they call it that? I mean, they have to know that's a bad choice, right? Why does the first aid station have to be themed? it could just be a normal first aid station and nobody would care.
It has a waterpark section that's all themed around Leviathan, with a wave pool, one of those big bucket things (which fills up and is emptied 10x faster than most other ones in the country), and many more attractions. Sometimes has prop dead bodies at the attractions too.
There's a huge walled section on the other side that says SIMURGH LAND, COMING SOON but it's said that since 2002 and nobody's been allowed in and the security team at Worm World is like, weirdly adamant about not letting anyone in, to the point where they even guard the thing during the off-season, and it's really strange. People have tried to use drones to take pictures but the security team always shuts them down and I heard my cousin's friend's wife's sister had a drone and the security team shot it down with a shotgun in the middle of the operating day.
update time!
“While we look for our Christmas decorations, Uncle Potato Chip sent us this!”
“He’s on vacation in the old lands and dropped in on my cousins who live there and help them move into their new home. They recently moved into part of an old boat.”
“Uncle says it’s cold there and is glad they’ve got the new place to keep them warm. He says Draven likes the ‘attic’ part the best. Said he kept himself holed up in there most of the time.”
“Overall, Uncle says he’s enjoying visiting. I told him he’s going to freeze his ass off when he gets back home because it’s just as cold here. And that I’m glad he’s having a good time. He said he’d make it back in time for the holiday.”
of my cassiecharon expyterations nina and adam are the least romantic. adam is the most asexual charonalike ive done. they grew him in a vat and streamed his memories. they mezzed him. hes the most terrified of intimacy and the worst at expressing his feelings which is, in my opinion, something of an achievement. try to talk to him about his emotions and he will run away. literally. ninas his handler instead of it being the other way around and shes doing a bad job this is not supposed to be her job. shes trying but shes also normally the one who gets handled because she is a large and powerful young woman who kills people. now theres a goop guy imprinted on her like a duckling. it would be unethical to smash. what if he dies

Worm World: Norton’s Nightmare #1
This is the very first page of Worm World that was posted to Patreon way back in December 2015, a solid five months ago. Since then, I haven't been able to get a second page drawn and prepped to publish that I was truly happy with, and it's brought me to a realization recently.
My original intent was to release Worm World as a Patreon exclusive side series. The worms were my first original comic creation, after all, dating all the way back to my 8th grade year and throughout early high school. I abandoned the idea of a comic focusing entirely on worms in favor of developing Peter & Company, but still kept them around as side characters the whole time. However, my attempt to revitalize them with this side project has come to a sad conclusion...
...the Worms really don't hold their own in a comic all that well.
Lord knows I tried, though! I brainstormed plenty of character concepts for new Worms, tried giving them all personalities, tried coming up with little story ideas and hooks for them similar to how Animaniacs and Tiny Toons all had their own little diverse casts that all co-existed in the same realm. The problem didn't come down to a limitation on the part of the worms, though, but on my own sense of writing; I operate much more efficiently and better quality when I have an overall story to tell with a comic, vs. the classic gag-a-day strip format. This is also why Peter & Company shifted from the original newspaper 4-panel format to a full-page comic. I work better both with the additional breathing room and with the ability to tell a larger story.
So, on that note, I am keeping the original page intact, focusing on Norton and this bizarre little mad scientist worm. Norton's side of the comic was originally intended to be a progressing adventure that we would check in on from time to time, but instead I have decided to ditch all the other stuff that wasn't working out and just make him the primary focus. Thus, starting in June, I am re-launching the Worm World comic on Patreon, and rebranding it as:
Additionally, the comic pages will no longer be Patreon-exclusive, but merely a TIMED exclusive, similar to how I am handling material posted to the Peter & Whitney Patreon. At the end of each month, all of the Worm World pages will be uploaded to FurAffinity, DeviantArt and Tumblr for everyone to enjoy. Pledging to the Patreon means you will simply view them before everyone else.
So what kind of story will Norton's Nightmare be? Well, anyone familiar with the old sci-fi TV series Sliders might have an inkling. That's all I'll say for now, hehe.
The next few pages of Worm World: Norton's Nightmare will be posted to the Peter & Company Patreon starting in June, with a promise of at least 2 pages each month (more if I can squeeze them in).
