It’s not vegan because it is an animal product and obviously uses animals for profit. The animal product industries make whatever cost effective sacrifices necessary; often at the expense of the animals quality of life - after all, it’s a business! 

Essentially bees work realllyy hard to make their honey - even wild bees. This is because they need their honey! They work tirelessly not only for their daily needs but to store it away for winter and other times when nectar is scarce. Beekeepers come in and remove this stored honey for sales and provide the bees with a poor sugar substitute which is unnatural for them and doesn’t provide adequate nourishment. 

They live in artificial hives (foreign and unnatural to the bee), and are shipped all over the place (many die and it is very stressful). Queens are killed to prevent swarming and drones and killed who are “unnecessary”. It’s a money making business so these guys are killed simply because they don’t produce honey. 

There is no acceptable amount of honey to remove from a hive so even local “backyard beekeepers” who “love their bees” and “only take the excess” are doing harm. 

Another argument is that we literally need bees.. i think it’s 4 months humanity would survive without them. Animals do not need us to intervene - they know what they are doing :) 

It takes a whole lifetime of a bee to produce a teaspoon of honey! They worked hard for that. Save the beeeeeesssssssss
