Galatians I
After last night’s revelation and extreme press upon the spirit, brain, and heart, if ever I thought, even the slightest doubt, it was all bluster and self-importance, I re-open my Bible after an absence of more than two weeks [work and the world tugged me away], and what happens? I hit Galatians I. Are you kidding me?
It brought me to tears of both joy and concern as I re-read it, heard some of the words as if for the first time - mind wide open, spirit in the essence. If you are looking for a starting place in this messed up, churches usurped by political and worldly powers, thrones, dominions, and principalities, then re-read Galatians I. Slowly, deliberately, and letting the spirit of openness and wisdom sift and flow over the words, find your way. The answers to all our problems stare us in the face - each chapter, each word in the Bible shows us the way to the peace of the Lord and the living in and trying to help this world - and it’s not legislating, supported candidate or senator A or B, policy X or Y. We are NOT called to politics. We are called to GREATER than that. We are not called to any acts of violence, but we are called.
May you find the peace and joy, the power of the Lord in each word of the Gospel, and may your search be free from entanglements in the world and its ways.
