Sloppily slapdashy Astroneer AU be upon ye.
Angel has her flight suit, she's their pilot and handles most of their vehicular operations. She's very chill.
Paladin is wearing what the game has labeled the "biosuit," and he handles a bunch of their research (you can thank him for the vast majority of their bytes, which is the blueprint currency). He is Tired™ and Bright Orange so he is easy to find.
Edda and Aven are wearing the standard exosuit, and handle a bunch of the general exploration and resource gathering. They have All The Energy and the guts to match (and definitely don't go sliding down the steep slopes into caves with reckless abandon).
Joy, Polarity Be Upon Ye
Also, here's Polarity separating into the duo, a few changes has been made to their body after their fusion, as you can see⬇️
More info below!
Headcanons about Polarity:
Polarity's memories are blurry and staticky. If they do recall something, neither half are sure which memories belonged to whom.
Neither of them remembers exactly who they were, or if they even have names before their fusion. They chose "Polarity" as their name simply because it just sounds right to them.
Since they did not remember their own individual names, they both instead gave each other nicknames like "Light" and "Dark" (very simple and creative I know).
Their default form is their fusion form. They can briefly separate from each other, though they both need their counterpart since their own individual energies have became really unstable and somehow depletes very quickly. (Neither of them not know if they could die from this. Neither of them want to find out.) They've quite literally became each other's halves.
They can internally communicate to each other in a form of thoughts and feelings. When this happens, sometimes Polarity might freeze and zone out, or their body goes into autopilot mode, depending on how long and deep their conversations are.
In the case that they are separated, they can telepathically communicate to each other, though distance plays a big role on how clear their half's thoughts and feelings are.
'Light' uses They/She. 'Dark' uses They/He. As Polarity, they only use They/Them.
Polarity has all elemental magic powers (lightning, wind, ice, fire) and all weapons (sword and shield, bow, axe, claws, whip, seal). You can see how deadly their combos are gonna be due to the variety.

Decided not to spam your inbox, but allow me to enlightened you about my Worldless AUs/ silly
Duality: Canon Divergence/ Retelling. A retelling of Worldless based on my headcanons. Currently the only fic that's available.
Echo: Post Canon, Fantasy, and partially an Original Work. Follows the story of Evelyn and Adrian, two siblings who become the Vassals of the spirits of Edda and Aven, and have to prevent a reset of the world.
Binary: Modern, Post-College AU. A more of a romantic take on the duo. Edda and Aven are college graduates living in their apartment, bonding and trying to sort out trauma.
Tarnished Stars: An Elden Ring/ Worldless crossover. After failing to defeat the Ones Above, Edda and Aven perish, and are sent plummeting down into the Lands Between. They awaken as humans, Tarnished, to be more specific. Revived by the Greater Will, they are given another chance: to seek the Elden Ring. (Essentially the plot of Elden Ring, but Edda and Aven are the protagonists).
Inverted: Canon Divergent AU. In the beginning cutscene, instead of unifying, Aven successfully swaps polarities with Edda, leaving him as a Lightfolk and her as a Darkfolk. Edda is filled with Darkfolk Angst™️ and wants revenge on Aven, meanwhile Aven is an anxious wreck running and fearing for his life.
The Stars Lent a Hand: Breath of the Wild/ Worldless crossover. On his quest to defeat Calamity Ganon and regain his memories, he is joined by Edda and Aven, who were cast into Hyrule after defeating TOFA.
My Neighbor is a Sad God: Post Canon. Edda perishes in the TOFA fight and Aven is unable to revive her. Now the new creator god, he goes mad, going to extreme lengths to revive or replace his friend. His efforts lead him to Earth...
Allegiance: Post Canon. Similar to MNiaSG, only now, Edda is the one who goes crazy. Becoming an eldritch abomination, she casts the new universe into a state of chaos, mutating the Lightfolk, snuffing out Darkfolk, and driving the Transcends mad. Unbeknownst to her, however, Aven is very much alive. TOFA's spear has kept him in stasis for thousands of years, and he is only now freed. Afflicted with amnesia, and guided by the last remaining essence of the Tyrant, he journeys to mend the wounds of grief.
Okey, hear me out... Worldless x Hellaverse
This one is probably going to be buried amongst all the lovely fanarts and more impressive AU's that came before I joined the Worldless fandom but I wanted to vent this out: how about a Worldless/Hellaverse crossover? Set after the Grace and Fury ending (because I LOVE that AU), instead of Aven and Edda 'fading' into the universe, they both get teleported to Hell of the Hellaverse! And since they have god powers now, take for granted chaos is about to endure for both Heaven and Hell! Now, any hellaverse would probably ask me 'how' and 'why'? So I will respond: if we follow the lore of Worldless, and mix it with that of the Hellaverse, then that means that when Aven and Edda created a new universe, that basically means that they created the Hellaverse universe, MEANING that the Starfolk are probably the ancestors of Heaven and Hell meaning there's a LINK between them and they can use that link to override the ONE rule that allows Heaven to basically remain impune of their actions. As we all know, Hell's weapons can't hurt Heavenfolk and Exorcists... but the Starfolk are from BEFORE this rule was set, meaning that they CAN and WILL hurt (and possibly kill) heavenfolk, something that they CLEARLY can't allow and weren't even thinking would be possible. The problem with that would be that Aven and Edda will not understand why is it "bad"... because from where they came from, the moral compass between "Good" and "Bad" didn't exactly mattered that much: Worldless was about a fight between "dark" and "light" which DOES NOT mean 'good' or 'bad' because, after all, both sides didn't care, it was all about might and overcoming the strength of your opponent and absorbing it to assert your victory. This means that threatening them, bribing them or trying to convince them to stop will be useless, they will only stop WHEN they are defeated, something that isn't likely to happen. Which brings us to the absorption mechanic: it would be ridiculously broken in the hellaverse because it would be the equivalent of absorbing ones soul which means TRUE DEATH for any unfortunate sinner/overlord/hellborn/exorcist that crosses the two and their powers being ABSORBED by the duo. And I also suspect that, Starfolk would also have another big advantage against the Hellaverse residents: health and their "deaths". If we follow the game mechanic, the only true way that Starfolk 'die' is via absorption. Even if you deplete their health, they simply 'dematerialize', not 'die' because we can summon then again for another try. This means that Edda and Evan are technically invincible in the Hellaverse, a true immortality that in battles is a HUGE advantage for them: this simply means that any fight against any rival is guaranteed to end in the Starfolk demi-god couple winning. If you want to hear more or see a oneshot of this idea, let me know! I'm a writer!

Writing Practice
(Bit of writing practice for some lore/maybe chapter of a possible fic for a Worldless x WoF AU)
Ten tribes exist on two continents, and ten was all there was. They lived peacefully, happily, free of the war and suffering that plagued them so long ago. Everyone finally got along.
But far away, looking up to the cosmos, was a secret eleventh tribe that had been there all along, watching down on the tribes and even granting special powers to one particular tribe they favored. They hoped, one day, that tribe would be their key to establishing communications and trade with the other tribes.
Their existence was considered a myth. A legend, a tall tale for dragonets, and despite their efforts, the NightWings twisted the tale of their unique powers and erased the eleventh tribe from their history. As punishment, the tribe ceased giving their powers, but sent one Princess Dusty to negotiate, bringing the powers back and hopefully being known about again.
The journey was long, and it had been centuries since the NightWings had powers when Dusty finally arrived. She tried to plead her case, but the NightWings refused and had an animus place a terrible curse upon her poor soul.
They stole her light, and used it to fuel themselves to once again have the powers they held so dear.
Dark and empty, Dusty returned home to be comforted by her mother and family. Nobody knew what to do. They'd never had anyone lose their eternal light before. At first, Dusty was fine, if a bit depressed and mopey. But eventually, the profound emptiness turned to a gnawing hunger for her light again. With no way to bring it back on her own, Dusty turned to less savory means of fixing her curse.
She stole someone else's light, absorbing their light into her own body and making her feel whole once more. The dragon she touched fell to the ground, and slowly, became as empty and hollow as she once was.
Discovering what she'd done, Dusty's mother exiled her from the Kingdom, leaving her to live in shame of what she'd done while they tried to heal the dragon she'd absorbed. Time passed, and the dragon slowly became the same way Dusty had been: Empty, and hungry for light.
Worse still, Dusty's light was only temporary. Soon, she snuck back, and sought after more light, leaving dark and empty husks in her wake. These dark dragons grew in number, and there was no option but to exile them to protect the remaining light dragons. Both sides grew as they raised their dragonets to be fearful of the other side. For a dark to never trust a light, and vice versa.
"Woah," Eterna hadn't dared to breathe during the story at all until this moment. "But what happened to Dusty, mom?"
The soft white glow of her mother seemed to beam as she reached out and gently patted the dragonet. "Nobody knows, darling. She disappeared one day without a trace."
"Surely someone found her!"
She shook her head. "I'm afraid not. She's still out there, lurking, corrupting pure StarWings like us. Her and all her kin. That is why we hide whenever one is spotted at the border, and our warriors go to take care of it."
Eterna sighed and shuffled restlessly. "Mom, I want to be a warrior. I want to fight the dark and chase it back and be a hero."
Her mom tented a wing over her comfortingly. "And I want you to stay safe, Eterna. Our warriors are strong enough to defeat any foe. You don't need to join them."
Unsatisfied, she dramatically flopped on her bed with a groan. Her mother frowned. "Don't be like that, now. There's plenty of perfectly reasonable jobs a young dragon like you can get."
"But I want to fight," she muttered into her bed. "I'm old enough to start training for it."
"I'm not going to let you waltz to join in on senseless fighting and end up as a dark one, Eterna." Her mother flicked her tail, lightly pressing it on Eterna's snout. "That's final."
She scowled and turned away as her mom walked out of the room. "I love you, my darling."
"I love you too," she replied, curling up and fantasizing about being the StarWing who found Dusty and ended the nightmare raging around them.
Okay so here's my take on Fused Duo/ Eddaven @nihil-nan!
Decided to go with some things I noticed in-game and some headcanons about Hybrid/ dual/ green starfolks. Basically I noticed that "Pure" dual starfolks have wings (Duality's fused form, Summum), and I hc that naturally-created and even some absorbion-created dual starfolks are grey, with the exact shade varying depending on how much of light/ dark starfolk energy they have.
Also thought to give them a bandana because I thought that a proper scarf would look a bit weird in combination with the long hair.
Aaaaand done!
This is my first version of what would happen if Edda and Aven straight up combined? You get Eddaven!
That's be a really funny outcome if Edda insisted on smacking Aven until he's absorbable, and then they actually combine and she has to learn to like him because they're body roommates (bodymates?)
@octahedral-chaos thoughts?
