“When I was five years old my mother told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment. I told them they didn’t understand life.” – John Lennon
Today is World Happy Day and how cool that this day exists?! I read a blog post from Lululemon's blog and it featured the science behind happiness. Psychologists mention that there are 3 components to happiness: pleasure, meaning and commitment and participation in life. I copied a section of the blog post below on how to control happiness. Enjoy the quick read and make the most of today and the rest of your life!
How to control happiness (Source: http://www.lululemon.com/community/blog/the-science-of-happy/?cid=fbsciencehappy)
1. find pleasure in everything – big and small
2. discover meaning, whether it is through work, family or self
3. commit to and participate in your life. In the end, it’s up to you. Why not embrace it all?
