I actually finished the touches this morning, but this is my #WorldGothDay2018 contribution, “Night from a Goth’s View.” I wrote a poem to go along with it, LOL, which I suppose I ought to include? “Night brings not fear, But grace and wisdom; No monsters rise from the depths. The night is peace, And grants a faint glow to its lover. Night mourns not day; Rather, night heralds the natural existence. Day shines gaudily, Obnoxiously blaring its own glories... Yet still, it falls sway to the night. The night is no conqueror, Only a serene phenomenon. While others see only darkness, The lovers of night see colors abundant That were once silenced by day. The day chases after night, But matter how persistent, They are doomed to stay apart. The heavens grant them mingling Merely twice per 24 hours, But still the clock is rolling. Here in endless twilight, We see the glories of night. Weep not for its vanishing; Night will come again as sought.” -A Really Stupid Poem by me 😅😂 I hope you all have a great day and maybe you all won’t be as late as I am with things!

I think yesterday was world goth day. I don’t really identify as goth so much these days but gothic metal had a huge influence on my musical upbringing and of course I embrace it to this day. This first photo was about 4 years into that discovery, so about 20 years ago when I was 15 years old. Then a quick selfie for reference. I am a fan of 15 year old me, she dun good.
