The World Goth Day celebrate the Gothic culture all around the world. I am excited to be headlining the show this Saturday , and being part of the online festival organised by Craig Dalrymple! Even though I am grateful and happy to be given this opportunity, I must say I do NOT put my self in any category and/or box. (gothic, dark wave, industrial, post-punk , etc) I would like to think of this festival as a way to celebrate uniqueness, originality , and creativity, and ultimately, love for art, as I see music a way to express creativity and connect with others through energy, regardless of the style, music background, skin colour, nationality, etc. Yes, most of my songs are full of sadness, melancholy, and there are themes that are common in the gothic music, yes I dress in black and my style is for sure inspired by the gothic fashion, but I'm much more than that. I like to think that I can expand and grow, and even try new musical styles if my soul feels called to do so; saying "I'm goth" feels very limiting, I prefer to be defined just as "Artist" or "Creator". Originality and Authenticity comes first for me. Having said that, you can imagine my set for the festival will be very original and probably non-commercial, I have introduced new songs that have a more "spiritual" and esoteric meaning. Darkness, and light. I hope you will be able to connect with the new songs, I shall leave the lyrics in the comment section on Youtube (hope that this helps!), if not you can enjoy the old tunes which I will be playing anyways for the audience.
