So much dancing... Legs are so sore! Ready for my rest day today, but kind of just want to dance more!
I have mentioned the Worldanz classes that I have been taking for the past few years on my blog before but never had good videos to share with you guys.. here is a great video that shows many of the awesome routines we do!

Speedy 1.5 mile warmup on the treadmill (8:30 min/mile) before worldanz! After all the hill running I've been doing, the treadmill is both really easy and really boring. Also my dance instructor was realllly intense today. So much jumping. So many squats and lunges. Jump squats. Going to feel my legs tomorrow. Miles in September: 15.44/60 miles

Worldanz?
Worldanz is a cardio dance workout (somewhat similar to Zumba). Right now it is only in Santa Cruz, CA but more instructors are being trained and hopefully it will grow! Here is a link to the facebook pageĀ and here is a video

Tell us about your favorite exercise. What about it do you love? How has it helped your journey? How would a person that is new to it try it out?Ā
My favorite exercise is dancing! I do Zumba, U-Jam and Worldanz. I love all of the positive energy in the class and how awesome of a workout I get while having a great time.. it feels like a party!Ā
I have been taking these classes off and on for about 7 years now. Even when I was not eating well, and not doing much other exercise I always had a great time at these classes. I remember the first time I went to a Zumba class (it happened to be with the teacher who is my all time favorite to this day) I was so lost. I was having a great time, but I had a lot of "how the hell do people do that with their hips?" and "what is samba?" moments. After attending a few classes and not thinking about it too much, I started to get the hang of it.Ā
To someone who is considering trying a cardio dance class (like Zumba or U-jam) for the first time, I would say go for it! You may feel lost at first, but just listen to the music and don't focus too much on getting the moves right... Just have fun! If you're having a hard time getting the moves, focus on the feet/legs first, and add in the arms once you get the legs down. Lastly, don't worry about looking silly... everyone looks silly and it is great!
