Above and Away
She hoped he’d stand next to her, near her, or in the vicinity of the affection she’d expressed.
He expected her to wait, and so, both collided with a bend of communication of mis-enlightenment, for surely he’d known what was to come. She was unsure of his intentions. She left, but not before prayer, and waiting near the countryside river run alley.
She hoped she’d never see him again, hear him again, or have to cross paths with any man of the like. She’d ventured far beyond the confines of  patience, expectations. She’d never do it again.Â
